may be real wheel needs some oiling, but it does not make any strange noise as such.use castrol engine oil for better performance, milege will inprove coz its less for first 300 kms or so.

My Apache has done 10,000 kms and i am not a newbie , so i can tell u it's great bike. Use Castrol Power-T to smoothen ur bike. It will increase pick -up and wiered sound at higher speeds will go when you do more kilometers and Castrol helps as well. Gear problem can be reduced if u ask ur service p...rovider to oil it. Those who says that Apache has vibrations :listen here..I have even put my fifth gear on 100kms/hr and even at such extreme condition, i.e 100kms/hr at 4th gear, there were no vibrations. For a new Apache, sure there a some, but they will disappear as ur odo will touch around 3000kmsRead More

Hi, My sympathies with u...but either the showroom guy is cheating u, or u r cheating the readers. Nothing like that as u said. There is no second version planned coz this bike is actually out of stocks. and there is no need to get a service done to fix ur prob. I even got my apache's tuning set 3... weeks after 1st service..No charges. In fact that they told me that don't worry , if any probs come, they will set it alright. There was a guy in workshop. His ES relay had probs. It was replaced free of cost. As such i have done more than 2000kms and engine is great , there r bit of probs but service guys set them. so no issues.Read More

A real good review... first of all ,thanks to you...if u remember that i mailed u on ur gmail account when u wrote ur first review & asked u about vibrations and all. After that i bought red coloured ES Apache. Mine has done 2000 kms in last 1.5 months and she is rocking, no vibraz and very stable ...and beats almost every other bike on road. Well you are right as far as alignment of rear brake is concerned. It has happened with me that when it gets more free play, then during emergency braking from 70-90 kmph , where u want a sudden halt, tyres have made some cho-cho noise. Is it because tyres are not good or due to fact that my rear brake free play was on higher side. I have a new problem since last 2 weeks, my electric start misfires many times & i have to accelerate my bike just after i fire the start so that i does not misfire. This problem started after i asked TVS guys to set its tuning as idiling rpm on my bike was not constant. After that bike became very very smooth and made very little noise like unicorn but this ES problem started and mileage also dropped (from 62 to 52-53, though i drive quite fast now). Will let the TVS guys to fix it during second service but u know reason and any solution for ES prob? Also, from last 2-3 days i felt that my bike has become bit hard and is making lil more noise than it usually makes at high speeds. May be this coz i washed my bike on sunday and may be water seeped inside engine or somewhere else and may be it's tuning has disturbed. What can be the reason and solution. Also let me know how to keep my Apache free from scratches. She has a teflon coating on her but on still i can see some minor scratches on fuel tank and mudguard. It would be great if u can tell me what precautions are required while washing the bike. I wash it with water and car wash. Thanks ManuRead More

Hi, Well check the way you measure your mileage. A Bajaj dealer in his showroom(Tilak nagar, Delhi) told me that P-180 will give around 30-35 if u wish to drive her like pulsar. He told me if u drive her carefully, she will return around 40. Yaar , lot of my friend have P-150. and all of them sa...y P-150 returns 48-50-52(max).How can P-180 can return more than P-150. Quite illogical. & if your P-180 returns 55 to 58 then P-150 should return( at least) more than 65...ever heard of that??Yarr discover mileage claim in city driving by bajaj is 55-60. (see chalti ka naam gadi and Wheelocity and Car and Bike show programmes)One of my frds has P-180. His bike return is 35-40. So , i guess you way of measuring mileage may not be correct.Read More

Well, Thanks for your ratings and comments.Well some of you pointed out why Apache , why not P-180. Its a personal choice yaar. Apache's mileage is 60+ and P-180 gives around 35.I like Apache's looks more than great looking P-180. Again that's a personal chioce. & I sit close to tank , so not very c...omfortable on P-150. As far as rating is concerned, i gave her 5 because the cons are nither many nor alarming . Even on 90 kms now, i could not feel vibrations. Yesterday i got my tuning set and now pick up like crashing into almost everything. So got little time to used to it riding today. Shockers have improved with time and they are still on level-2. I can go upto level 5. Every bike has pros and cons and as Apache has kiling looks, great pick-up, excellent handling , headlight and good brakes & road grip. Moreso, there are no problems as of now , so i gave her 5. Happy RidingRead More

guess u have not read the review properly. well if i was to spoil pulsar's image , then pls read the lines in which i have written that apache's shockers r nothing compared to pulsar's. also read that i have written that pulsar & cbz looks great. No doubt pulsar is great bike . i mentioned that all ...150 cc & P-180 (including Pulsar 150)are good bikes with their pros and cons and most will agree to that. & i did felt the fuel tank prob and so did many other guys who have written pulsar & apache reviews. so it's personal thing.u might not had any such problem.and i was not spoiling any bike's image. i have written cons of apache as well. & finally i said in my review to go for any bike which u like. so plz read all the points before commentingRead More

Hi Guys, Are you all wondering how Apache behaves at 10,000 kms? Well, the review is more for the people who want to buy Apache or want to maintain their Apache. I am not against any bike, and I like all bikes in 150 cc segment, but Apache is simply great. My red Apache is 10,100+ kms a...Read more

Hello, Well i myself own an Apache and done 1200 kms on it. You are the first person who says that its looks r not impressive. From my own experience almost everyone on road stares at her.Even my friends who have Uni or Pulsars love Apache's looks. Vibrations were there but negligible in nature.... Now i drive my Apache at 80 kmph and it has absolutely no vibrations and bike is smooth. Though agreed , for first 1000kms there is bit of engine harshness and noise at 70 Kmph+ and bike was not very smooth (especially bike made lot of noise at 60 kmph before first service) but one is not supposed to go beyond 50 kmph in first 1000 kms. After first service, it improves a lot. Rear brake is progressive in action , not instant. Disc brake is excellent. I am getting consistent milege between 57-62 and thats preety good . Meanwhile, u praised pulsar in ur comments(which is also a great bike), u r purchasing unicorn?? & By the way if u think Apache's looks are not great, how cum u liked looks of stickered unicorn? those stickers look so cheap on 150 cc bike. Guy, Apache has black Mag wheels, contored fuel tank, Septagonal 3D arrow-head shaped headlight with side eyes. On the contrary unicorn has spoke wheels, a bulky & stickery fuel tank & simple headlight. What say?Read More

Hi all I also purchased bike from SK TVS Tilak nagar on 14 th May and i also took 6-7 test rides from different dealers.Even i did not face vibration on test ride bike at 80 Kmph, only thing that made me feel vibrations were mirrors and nothing else. I have done 280 kms on my bike and not touched... beyond 55 due to initial set limit. I will write my complete review later, but what can i say is that bike is getting better day by day. It was bit hard in beginning but now its sound and smoothness is really good now. Brakes are good and you will see lot of heads will turn as you pass by! & its not that any bike (say Pulsar or Unicorn or Apache)in 150 cc is not good, what matters is your requirement. All bikes have their +ve and -ve. Happy RidingRead More
