Well friend, I pity the young star, Simbu, and his fans (U included). When I saw Manmathan, I felt Simbu would go a long way but after seeing Vallavan, I changed my opinion. This fellow is just another version of his father. Whatever little plus points Manmathan had in comparison to the earlier Simb...u films was just because of the director, but Vallavan is hopeless, thanks to Simbu's direction. He has taken too many things at a time and has found it very tough. You opined that simbu is imitating Rajini. Please dont forget that no one has ever succeeded in Tamil cinema (and in no other field) by immitating another. Rajini is a legend. Simbu is a man of great potential, but gives us an overdo. The first blunder is immitation, the second blunder is he has not decided as to whom he should immitate, Kamal or Rajini. He wants to act like Kamal and be stylish like Rajini which is possible if he does it in his own original way. He has to do a lot of home work rather than waste his time and effort on mud slinging the likes of Dhanush and SJ Suryah. You had made a special mention of the scene where Simbu mouths a dirty tamil word that rhymes with Geetha. When Vivek previously did it, it was okay, but this time, its too much. It just clearly shows that Simbu is trying all dirty tricks to woo the audience and what is more disappointing to me is that there are takers in people like you for such silly things. Come on friend, GROW UP!...is this the best scene of the movie??? The whole movie has such instances where Simbu uses unparlimentary words and you think this raises the quality or the entertainment value of a movie. I should also appreciate you for a few of your observations like the one about Reema Sen. She is too good for the role, but one thing you should realize is that she has done the role to near perfection, but she chose the wrong movie and the wrong director. And..pleeez dont compare Simbu with Vijay n Ajith who have come a long way in terms of acting and experienceRead More

We all know director Shankar as a whizkid of tamil cinema. From his first film, he has been consistently performing better and better each movie. He has grown as a director who can understand the taste of the masses. He delivers what people want. He has delivered no-logic entertainers like Kadal...Read more
