A friend of mine had booked DZire in april. He got in touch with the maruti customer care to get a status. He was told that the DZire bookings have really surpassed Maruti's projections and therefore the waiting period. He was also told that the production has been ramped up and soon the waiting per...iod will go down. I am sure Maruti will work things out. It has always been a custmer focussed organisation. Let's not start blaming the company for something it never intended to do. Read More

Leave out the delivery time. It is a temporary situation created by high demand. Other than that - Dzire is by all means much better car than logan. The Swift lineage is an advantage not a disadvantage as you pointed out, because swift is a globally proven car.

Let us not criticise just for the heck of criticising. Accidents can happen and take toll even in best of the cars, but that does not mean, we should start buying cars lacking in safety features. Safe and unsafe are very relative terms. DZire is definitely a relatively safer car, given its features.

I have read in newspapers that Maruti has sold 5658 Swift DZire cars within 5 days of March after launch. This is quoted as record sales for any sedan sold in India. This is indeed an overwhelming response. Its worth to wait for a car and I am sure Maruti is working on its logistics to reduce waitin...g time.Read More

Hey. What choices in after sales do you want. Mauti is supposed to have a great service network and relatively cheaper spare parts. Isn't that good enough?

You are certainly in a difficult situation. I suggest you wait a bit. Hopefully things will be sorted out. Maruti is known to be a reliable company. They are not crooks. They will handle this matter soon.

I can tell you for Dzire. The mileage in city driving could be anywhere between 13-15.

Hi Srininet, The fuel efficiency I can't talk about, because I don't own it yet. What the sales guy promised is 18-20 for diesel. Cost of spare parts and service support has to be the cheapest and the best because it is Maruti. No questions about it. Logan is more spacious and fuel efficient but ...fails on most other fronts.Read More

With the launch of the Swift Dzire, Maruti has definitely set the cat among the pigeons in the lower A3 segment. Till now this segment was populated by mundane cars like the Indigo and Logan. To say that the Dzire will be a best seller is a safe bet. But what impact would it actually have on the...Read more
