(Updated Feb 16, 2014 10:49 PM)

Took a long test drive of Suzuki Inazuma, impressed with handling and rough road driving ability. Gears are precise and power delivery is instant. Lots of torque in mid-range, very easy to maneuver. 250 cc twin is super smooth, with instant power delivery. Not too happy with looks but everything...Read more

6000 kms update on my Duster: Initiial turbo lag has eased out and pick up has become linear. Have made several highway trips including one on an 80 kms broken road- the ride quality is outstanding- you dont feel bumps and road shocks and the Duster does not 'thud' through potholes. The rear seat co...mfort is as good as the front seat, this I cannot find in much more expensive SUVs. The reason, according to me, is that the rear seat is set a few inches ahead of the suspension and so is the wheel track which is a few inches away from the seat base. This way the passenger seat is isolated from the suspension movement to a large extent. It takes a really big pothole to unsettle the Duster. In my other car, a Ford Fiesta S, my two kids fight for the front passenger seat, in the Duster, they both rush to occupy the rear seats! I did a 400 kms trip with just one stop and arrived at my destination feeling fresh. The Duster is growing on me.Read More

This is review after driving 1000 kms in my Renault Duster 110 BHP. The car (some call it an SUV, I prefer to call it a car), handles, drives and has body control similar to a D segment car with the bad roads handling ability of an SUV. It goes over most potholes and speed brakers as if they don...Read more

3000 kms update. Bought a Fiesta S model in the last week of December 2008 and have done 3000 kms so far. Engine has settled down and pickup feels improved. Did a 900 kms Delhi-Pushar round trip and it averaged about 14 kmpl at a steady 80-100 speed. The return journey was in mid-afternoon sun and t...he AC was on all the time. Got caught in a traffic jam on the way back with the car inching in first gear for a good 30 minutes. Overall a very relaxed ride. The car feels rough over broken roads but on smooth roads, it just glides over. Had a small problem in less than a month of owing the car. Went over a deep pothole at 60 kmph and noticed that the front left tyre had a slight bulge. The Bridgestone guys refused to replace it stating that it was not due to manufacturing defect. But I persiste and Ford agreed to replace the 195-55-R15 tyre for Rs. 1500 (its costs Rs 3900) otherwise. The car never feels tired and you dont need to change gears even while overtaking those pesky Indica taxis that try to overtake you from all sides. A thrust of the right foot when doing 80 in top gear is enough to propel the car to 120 in seconds! wow what a feeling! mahmed11Read More

Took my Ford Fiesta 1.6S on a 900 kms trip from Delhi to Binsar in Uttaranchal in the third week of June. The car's superb driving characteristics came into their own on this trip. It is supremely planted on the highway and picks up speed at low RPM. T he car revealed its best side on the windin...Read more

I had a ford Ikon Flair 2004 model done 52000 km which I just sold and replaced with Fiesta 1.6 S. Regarding your problem of AC blowing hot air, I faced a similar problem at 30,000 kms. Took it to several Ford dealers in Delhi who said valve has to be replaced and coolant changed for Rs 4000-Rs. 500...0. Then a technician at one of the dealerships suggested I 'bypass' the heater which was done for Rs. 200. After that the AC performance improved tremendously. No longer did the car lose power after switching on the AC and the cooling was much faster. The downside is that the heater will not work. but who needs the heater.Read More

Bought a Ford Ikon Flair in July 2004.  Here is a 50, 000 kms review. Good points: Reliable car, no let downs so far. Drive mostly in Delhi and take her on holiday trips mostly to Himachal/Uttaranchal twice a year (1000-1400 kms round trip each time).  Great car to drive around hill roads, hu...Read more
