I always use Indian Oil Extra premium petrol. Never strain the car in terms of giving sudden acceleration or brakes. The average speed (in case I get a proper road) is between 60-80 KMPH). I have driven so far around 16700 Kms and till date the record of mileage has been as I mentioned in the review.... Recently I drove the car of around 1200 KMs in four days and it gave me 16+. I personally feel it is more about how one drives the car. Use of minimal clutch and brakes would definitly help.
