@ Ajay_1977: The Global NCAP (New Car Assessment Program) has rated 0 in a scale of 5 for Swift (Non-Airbag variants) - Agreed. Let's test all other brands retailed in India (Non-Airbag variants), no wonder you will get the same zero rating ! Last January 2014, Global NCAP published crash test r...esults of top selling Indian cars from various brands involving Hyundai, Ford, Volkswagen and Tata. They all scored zero stars for adult protection, No different than Swift. If you go by this rating numbers - no Indian car is SAFE. The hidden truth is...Swift with ABS and Airbag has a G-NCAP rating of 3 stars in a scale of 5, whereas the Volkswagen Polo has 4 stars - slightly better edge over swift on safety. Certainly for this reason, Volkswagen has decided to offer the Polo for sale in India with two airbags as standard and Myself having chosen the Airbag Variant of Swift !!!Read More

Disclaimer: - My comments are not intended to hurt anyone. It's all based on my personal experience. I took a test ride on D390 today. Within few min of ride I could justify that Duke 390 is not worth buying. There is no doubt about this machine's Prowess on road, but that's not sufficient. KT...M engineers have failed to address a very basic requirement of a bike...that's the 'VIBRATION'. Turn-on the engine, the very first thing that comes uninvited is the high vibration on foot pegs and handle-bar. Yuck!! The level of vibration is unacceptable for a premium bike of this kind. The vibrations continue to annoy until you leap 5K range. We are all aware, There is no way to cross 5K RPM range in traffic, making the punishment evident. This noisy engine spits unbearable heat to the rider too, adding fuel to fire. No matter how much performance it delivers, consistent vibration is injurious to health on long run. Having said that the 'Test ride' bikes are always a spoiled child, I re-confirmed the vibration with another new duke 390. Same!! I could remember my severe back-pain and foot pain during my pulsar era. I feel Duke 200 is much better than D390. Duke 200 vibrates negligible, sounds very sweet but quiet and produces less heat. Who needs acceleration and power when you apply IODEX to your foots and wrist at the end of the day? I was mis-guided by the poor media by comparing D390 with Ninja 300 and the verdict falling towards the D390...Absolutely ridiculous!. D390 is not even close to Ninja in any aspects. Ninja's hefty premium worth every rupee. The way the twin-cylinder delivers is a marvel in engineering department. Unlike D390, There is not even a sign of vibration or mur-mur from the engine. It is hard to say whether the Ninja is ON or OFF, unless revved very hard. My money is always on D200 any day despite of lesser power. If you could afford, Ninja is the betRead More

Updates 7500 Kms: I saw an AD promotion by Tata comparing Vista with Swift in thier websites. Trust me guys this car is not good for racing enthus and no way comparable with Swift in performance but this car plays an excellent role in family driving. Maintain speeds below 110 KMPH, i’m sure you w...ill enjoy every moment. Vista has a major design flaw in Propellor shaft assemblies, that cannot withstand consistent high speeds above 110 KMPH. This is the third time i’m replacing the propellor shaft components since purchase. After travelling several hundred KMS with speed above 120, the transmission got nasty and vibrates badly. TATA made transmission components are not as robust as its Engine and fails miserably at high speeds. I realize the Quadrajet Fiat Engine is an overkill for this car and somehow regret that the car lacks high speed performance. Despite of warranty replacements, I feel numerous vibrations within the body and cabin in certain speeds. The bad news is Tata Authorised service stations are not able to fix this defect. Read More

@charles2006: Based on my experience, i haven’’t found a problem with AC. The chilling is super quick and makes me shiver within few mins after turning ON. AC Problems does exist in TATA Indicas, but not in VISTAs! Perhaps its time to check your AC system completely for maintenance. Clutch ...pedal hardness is not a problem specific to Vista, it can occur in any car depending upon the wear and tear. Seems like you love clutch riding. I disagree with your steering complaint too. Mine is absolutely fine. I agree that the quality is not at the best but decent for an average person. The latest Vista is far better than its Previous versions. The good news is that this car is being refined. Overall i would suggest you to service your car in a good service center rather declaring as a generic problem.Read More

Yes, Your review on TATA Service is true. The technicians are not at all trusted to handle cars. The service advisor is pathetic too, may be a 10th class passout who don’t understand whats the problem is. At the very first service, for adjusting headlamp focus, my total headlamp assembly was replace...d by them calling that as a product defect. The problem persisted for me. I finally got this tuning done with my local mechanic within few minutes. Thank god i’m covered under warranty, what about those who are out of it. Because of these stupid mechanics and their inability to assess a problem, customers are paid. Certainly for this reason i didn’t buy extended service package from TATA Authorised service, as i know it is going to be of no use. I will not recommend a tata service station for the same reason.Read More

Dude, I own both Pulsar 180 and Karizma R. Never give up Pulsar 180 for Karizma R, you will regret later. Yes the pulsar engine becomes noisy after 2-3 years but its better than the pathetic 'Air locking' problem with the super refined karizma engine, which made me to stall in the middle of the fas...t moving traffic, creating a safety issue. The untold truth in ZMA is once the engine gets an air-lock, it will not start easily. Even the authorised dealers were not able to assist me on this front until i discovered a way by myself to resolve the problem. My pulsar 180 never ever let me down like that despite of minor niggles. You guys blame pulsar for its noise, don't you feel the rattling noise from ZMA fairing and muffler post 4K rpm? Is that a welcoming sign on a premium bike like ZMA? I have to admit the Karizma R is a good bike but it has its own drawbacks such as Rattling noise, air-lock complaints, high speed stability, poor headlamps, week horn, no side stand indicator / engine kill switch and featureless cockpit. I spent 67k for buying a P180 and 92k for buying ZMA. I would say P180 is much VFM than ZMA, as both the bikes have some niggles in different aspects. Issues are always common with the products but the attitude to correct it plays major role. Hero honda never ever bothered about such complaints since from day 1 of this product release, whereas Bajaj has been showing serious product improvements in every of their releases no matter how sensitive the issue are. Brother, the grass on the other side is always green. Follow your heart. Good Luck.Read More

@ Avit No part of the review i commented Karizma R is a bad bike but it lacks upgrade and became too old by now as predicted. Don't tell me its a safest bike...Do you know what safety means?? 1) Do you ever applied harsh braking post 90 KMPH? Try it and watch how ZMA behaves. 2) Do you ever ...ridden this bike in Wet road conditions? Try it and watch how ZMA slips 3) Do you ever flicked this bike post 100 KMPH confidently? Try it and watch how ZMA balances 4) Do you ever rode this bike at pitch black in open highways? Try it and see how the headlights glows As i mentioned earlier, feature richie's such as R15, Fazer, P220, Apache RTR can do the same far better than Karizma. Even my Pulsar 180 is safer at high speeds and extremely well in braking. The goodies with Karizma are top class Seating comfort and Smoother Honda engine, Nothing else!Read More

Have you ever driven any bike in crowded cities like Chennai? You will realize my point only when your successor screws your A** and takes it away. ... 2.I haven’t mentioned the front disc brakes as “Digital” in any part of my review…not sure from where you are claiming it. 3.Do you think the instrument console in pulsar is very small? I hope you are not blind…. 4.Pulsar has a heavy but sturdy chasis and good high stability throughout its range. (0-116 kmph) 5.I have already mentioned about my maintenance chart in my previous comments. I feel Bajaj products are cost effective. 6.You don’t have to decide anything after seeing my signature…or my profession…..Do one thing…Cry aloud Aoowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww for being immatured. Hi, I'm done with 30,000 kms till date...No doubt, my Pulsar 180 is a marvel machine....The bike is awesome....performance remains same....very VFM.....Its good for me...good for my family...good for all...... 1) I would recommend to use Shell super unleaded petrol....with which I can even c...ompete with R15 or Zma till 100 kmph mark...They are marginally ahead of me later...Still i'm a smart person, as i invested less but enjoying more or less equal performance as that of R15 or Zma.... 2) Donot change engine oil in Bajaj Service centers..factory recommende engine oil is good for nothing...mostly they washesout less than 1500 kms of run....Use Shell Oil for superior and long lasting performance...it could be little expensive but worth buying...keeps the engine healthy, revs freely and reduces maintenance cost....last for about 3000 kms, even if you are a three digit speed rider....Read More
