Dear All, I bought this smart phone last week. I was using Nokia E63 Black earlier and overall happy with it. However Nokia's processing speed failed to match my growing day-to-day needs. Nokia's Symbian OS is getting dated these days and far far behind Advanced OS like Android, BADA and JAVA softwares. Being from a professional background I wanted a phone which can handle both business and entertainment with multi-tasking capabilities.

Lets see whats out there in Samsung Wave.SOUND:The speaker is very powerful and distortion free. Loud enough for notifications. Its equivalent to Sony Ericcson's clear audio experience. The voice clarity during a call is excellent. I would not recommend you to keep the speaker volume more than 50% during a call as it is so powerful and could damage your hearing. Samsung provides Canal type ear phones rather conventional Bud-type ear phones as handsfree. The Audio experience is great.DISPLAY:Wave comes with Amold capacitive touchscreen, which is one of the best in this planet. The quality is far ahead than the conventional samsung touch phones. The touchscreen sensitivity is equivalent to those IPHONEs and DROIDs. The display is crystal clear and bright enough to read even in direct sun. I set the screen brightness to the least value, still its brighter than maximum brightness of any conventional mobile phones. The screen is big enough to display few SMS messages / Notes at a stretch, which is amazing.SPEED:Wave comes with a stunning 1 GHZ processor with Korean OS named "BADA" meaning "OCEAN"(BADA OS is a linux based platform, supports multi-tasking and has fewer bugs unlike Symbian), Which is powerful than any conventional phones. The processing speed is amazing(Even Nokia E series or HTC cant stand near to it). The graphics, menu animations, media loads lightning fast and smooth. Perhaps this is the fastest phone I ever used so far. One can confidently use this phone for multi-tasking purpose.ERGONOMICS:This phone feels great in hands. Easy to hold and grip is good. You dont have to dig down into menus to find Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and connectivity features.they are right in the top of the touchscreen.and activating / deactivating can be done just like that.its super slick. The harware buttons situated in the bottom edge of the phone are little inconvinient to access single handed. This is because the phone is lengthy enough to accomodate the huge bright almold touch screen. However you will get adopted to it soon. Another small disadvantage is the hardware keys dont have backlit, hence its difficult to find the keys in utter darkness(Although you could use most of the features in touchscreen itself). I hope this issue will be corrected in future editions.BUILD QUALITY:Its a solid build metalic phone, feels great in hands. The construction is very slim and light weight. The build quality is sturdy. I hope it could withstand few blows easily though I never ever wish to try it.(Smilingly). CAMERA:5MP resolution camera with digital zoom and Auto focus capability. Good for daylight photos. The image quality and video recordings are decent. Nothing to comment on the negative front.BATTERY:When I opened the pack, I saw the battery meter saying 40% charge left. I used it for 2 days to drain it completely. I admire the artificial intelligence built in this phone, as it could switches-off the display completely by itself during a call to save the power or reduces the display time according to the battery power remaining. This is a real smart phone. Moderate usage of calls(2G), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Media players lasts for 3 - 4 days confidently. Having said that the Samsung phones have poor battery life in earlier days, this phone has really wiped those curse. It looks like samsung is turning smart these days. For maximum battery stamina and life follow my below tips:(Implies to all phones)Primary Factors:1. Before first time recharge, use the phone till the battery drains completely.2. Ensure the phone is switched off, Charge it for 12 to 15 hours without interupting the process in-between3. Even if it says the battery is full, charge it continuously(as it open ups the capacity of battery).4. Use the phone till the battery drains out completely next time and recharge it once again for 12 hours.5. Repeat this process(Drain - Fill) for 4 to 5 cycles.6. Start charging your phone normally later(2 to 3 hours charge should make the battery full).7. Do complete Drain - complete fill once in a month to keep the battery upto speed.8. Remember, a Switched off phone charges faster than a phone which is turned on.9. Donot plug the phone in the charger for long time as over charging could bring down the battery life.10. Donot keep the phone discharged for prolonged time(More than 15 Days), as the battery may die.11. Its a good practice to charge your phone at night(as the surrounding temp is chiller than day, which will facilitate efficient charging)12. Avoid exposing your phones to hot or humid climates. It will result in poor battery life.Secondary Factors:1. Keep the screen brightness to minimal as it consumes less power2. Disable Screen savers, Start-up animations, other effects.3. Remove Vibration settings / Touch Feedback4. Remove keypad / selection tones5. Keep the volume level as minimum as possible, download a tone which is very louder even with minimal volume setting.6. Ensure Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Applications are turned off(When not in use).7. If you are travelling from place to place, where there is a chance of network going up and down, Better to turn off the phone or keep in Flight Mode(Network disabled)8. Ensure your SMS / Email Outbox is always empty and no message is pending for prolonged hours. If so clear it completely to save battery.APPLICATIONS:This phone comes pre-loaded with all necessary applications for Media, Entertainment, Social Networks and inclines much on the multimedia side. It has preloaded  YouTube, Twitter, Google, Maps, Facebook and many more. This phone does have Notes, Organizer and all necessary office tools which is sufficient for your business as well. I havenot tried downloading new widgets / applications from net. I'll keep you posted about the updates.VALUE FOR MONEY:Its well known that only big B's can afford those I's and D's. This phone fulfills the dream of an Average middle class person having those previlages at affordable price. In simple word I would say, This is a mini-Iphone available below 18K.VERDICT:Its a fantastic Smart phone below 18K price tag. I was initially reluctant to go for Samsung products but now I take back my decisions. This Wave is not just a Wave but a Tsunami in the mobile world, which ripped off other conventional mobile phones. Being capable of multi-tasking and lightning processing speeds, Samsung WAVE is sure a head turner and killer for Nokias, HTCs and Ericssons. No more hanging problems, Application crashes, Restart issues. The Next Generation SMART PHONE is Here.I would strongly recommend this product to everyone.
