I second ssha's opinion. Just drive one Maruti and Palio. See the difference in gear shifting, the steering response, the suspension. I agree Maruti got a brand name, because of our Indian mentality as you mentioned. It is not because of the quality of the product. I have a plio 1.6 GTX 8 years old.... still running like a brand new. Nobdy believes that it its that old. Still looks like 2-3 years old. You can see in the review itself, somebody mentioned who had a Swift DDIS that Swift needs servicnig in every 4000 kms otherwise smaller issues will start coming and it will become a nightmare afterwards, where as Palio does not need servicing til 10K or even more than that.. So just don't go blidnly behind Maruti as it is good at ASS. If things go good for Fiat, Palio will also have a good resale value in the coming years. Maruti'[s price is not justifiable for the quality. So all in all, Fiat Palio is a Value for Money Car. It is better to keep it for longer term..Read More

Hi All, The title of this reivew is the motto of Ambanis. I did not believe it until I became the BIG TV customer. I feel so miserable to chose this B(uggers)TV instead of Tata Sky. Here is the experience: I bought this Big TV on Sept 20. Got it installed on the same day night. Started workin...Read more

This was the same issue I faced. I am not surprised as people use to say the motto of Ambani’s ’’mere pappa ka sapna, sab ka maal apna’’. This is literally true!! I have a huge fight with the customer care guy one day (poor guy, not his problem, it is the management who deserves this kind of scoldin...g) I decided to try for some more time, if these buggers are going to continue in the same manner I will throw that Set Top Box and buy one from Tata Sky. At least Tata have some ethics, they way they conduct business. They will not do day light robbery with their customers. That much I am sure.Read More

Hey dude, this is an excellent reply to all those who crticize this lovely car... I agree to all those fuel saving tips.. This actually works.. I have a 1.6 GTX and in the city with full AC I get 10 and in the highways I get 14-15 at a speed fo 150 KM/hour.. Another thing, I recently drove the new... 1.6 stile from BU Bandhari, to be frank, it is not as smooth as myod one.. I feel that somewhere the Tata touch is there in Fiat. the gearshift is not smooth.....that's what I felt, may be it is a new car and the parts are not sychnonized or so... but somehow I felt it..Read More

Hi Prahlad, I would like to know the effect of the black colouor in the sun. Does the black colour create a problem in the sun, I mean does it really get hot very easily and creat additional load to the AC? I am planning to buy a new 1.6. I have the 1.6 GTX now. Very happy about it, but it is n...ow 6 yrs old. So thought of buyiing a new one. What you suggest? Read More

Hi Friend: This is a good review. Hope to read your review after 2-3 months experience with your new Palio. I am a 2002 Palio 1.6 GTX owner. I simply love that car.. It is damn sturdy. There is no comparison to any other car in that segment.. I drove it from Pune to Kerala (Kannur Dt.) then only I... really understood the worth of this car. On the highway it is awsome. I drove it at 150 kmph.. The car was pretty much under control. No vibration,... not shaking..I tried 150 on Honda City and Ford Ikon, but I did not get a safe feeling at that speed on both the cars. But Palio 1.6 GTX was rocking. I could not beleive it.. I thought since it is a 5 year old car.. will give some kind of problem. But It never give any problem during the entire 970 kms stretch. I would recommend all whoever is interested in good reliable and SAFETY car, please go for Fiat Palio 1.6 NOT 1.1. Palio 1.1 is not a good car because the engine is not suitable for the body.. I forgot to mention about Fuel Efficiency. I got 15 kms (with 4 people, full luggage and AC on) on highways per speed/extra premium petrol. and 8-10 in city.Read More
