I am a gr8 fan of SciFi too. The first time I read this book, I was totally impressed. Immediately I started collecting more info on this book and the things this books talks abt (though, I am very familiar with NanoTech, I found many things in the book near impossible!). What did I find? Though the... book has good read-value (excellant stimulus to your creative and inquisitive side of the brain), lot of things are next to impossible, as you have mentioned in ur review, 'just fiction'.
but, this is good read. Do read this book and get to know one more field :)
Good review hoschi, but can u plz update this with what exists today and what has been kinda extrapolated in the book? Kinda correlating between the present and the future, u know. since, u r thinking of doing ur PhD in this, u shd be able to tell us more :)Read More

Well done. Good collection of nearly all important things to keep in mind in the workplace.
I learnt about that note-taking in a hard way :( In my current company, the policy itself suggests that everyone keep a detailed notes of every 1:1, prj/team meeting et al.
When I started as a newbie, ...I always had wondered why people have to be so defensive in their workplace (taking notes, so that u have written proof of what u/others said is just one example! Why do u think later there will be a problem??)...but, after all these yrs I realize there is no way u *can* survive without doing those! Good collection!Read More
