This is major revenue generator for Airtel these days and i guess they are mostly using this tactics for rural innocent customers. I too have used Airtel since long time but now it seems i will have to rethink . Waiting for Number portability service.

Or they create a loop through messages so that the services is switched on . And they will start the service deducting the amount from t...he prepaid users account. I have heard this from almost all the users of Airtel. The prominent service in this list is missed call alert service . And the biggest catch in such service is that once they start , they will keep on deducting service charge until u have time to speak to their lousy customer care which is again chargeable and tell them to stop the service. The service unsubscription number that they provide never works either. And even if one does that he has already lost the one time subscription amount . Read More
