I had mailed the issue to standard chartered and this is the reply I got Ref : 03/13/105411/SP/CRD Dear Mr. Mallick, This is with reference to your e-mail dated March 26, 2013. We confirm that your card ending 2390 has been cancelled in our records with effect from March 19, 2013. Pl...ease note that as per the statement dated February 25, 2013, the total outstanding in your card ending 2390 was Rs.27,995.54 towards which we received a payment after the due date. Since we have not received the payment towards the outstanding reflecting in the statement of account before the due date, interest charge of Rs.506.82 has been charged on the dues in the card account on 2390 as detailed in the Important Information Document attached with your monthly statement. On date, the total outstanding in your card account is Rs.569.46. Please arrange to effect payment towards the same. Assuring you of our best services always Yours sincerely, Prakash Officer - Customer Care I have repled to them with the following mail: Hi, Can you please let me know when was the due date? Nothing as such was mentioned on your statement. Moreover I have made the payment of my last outstanding on 27th of fen. The balance amount of 24180 .16 was paid on 16th of march as it was the outstanding on the fresh bill. Please let me know when did I make a late payment which has incurred the interest.
