After long 7 years, bike had 68000+ kms....she is almost middle aged....tank got dent, battery changed twice...time to change again....disc pad frint changed once, chain and socket once, tyre twice...
But she is Butter smooth....giving me constqnt mileage around 48 to 50 .... Am happy...... Engine is very good....no oil burning...gears are smooth....rear shock absorber need to change but still usable...i used to pour shell ax7 for my bike cost around 350 or somthing..and i used to change oil around 3500 to 4000..
In an last time ...i had done something very cruel...thats i forgot to change oil for around 5000+km...and on one day suddently when checked...it was very very low....after pouring 3/4 litre only it reached min oil level ...unicorn is delivering good mileage 310 km for 500 rs petrol (78 per litre here)Read More

am happy about performance
mileage: 55 overall steady ,including lots of climbs in first gear
smoothness: its increasing
noise: no more noise
issues:
got some problem with electric start relay,3-4 knock at relay ,problem solved....
but am not so happy with gear ratio; i hav...e to put first gear on moderate high cliffs, may be due to '' multi map fuel ignition'' for best mileage...Read More

thanks god, now on 6600 km,after my third service and self oil change
1.rattling sound gone
2.no over heating
3.avg mileage rsv to rsv 5 ltr test: 56.4 kmpl
4. gear shift smooth
6. no gear slip on 5 th gear
7.and last am very HAPPY

ofcourse, after every service i buy genuine oil ,and drain the oil they filled on the engine from local mechanic,they jst fill loose oil not recommened oil

hiten, still unicorn, becauz even if it got some problem,its still cant compare to pulsar,even if its had some issues , unicorn is unicorn only,
but some more update overheating is solved,i changed genuine honda oil ,two days after 3 service with authorized oil change,the so called 2 day oil was da...rk like hell, my local machanic told me that oil was not changed at least for 2000km, and according to his reliable sources he said the oil change done using loose oil from barrels cost around 50 rs per litre an not using genuine honda oil, after 4 days i noticed heating comes to normal and my bike become smooth again, still small rattling sound can be heard on listening but on oil change the total sound reduced much.......Read More

thnks man,my unicorn now at 4800km,after all what from my expierence is that service centre guys never tell the truth, one tell adjusted other tell changed...after the service i noticed a rattling noise from engine on accelerating or throtling and on climbing,after 600 km after service valve sound s...tarted again....thanks to service geeks...if u can HMSI please send me a technician at my pillion, so that after every 100 km he can again adjust the valve ....just kidding....
my current problems are
1.rattling sound from engine
2. valve noise
3.overheating
4.low average only 49 kmpl onaverage, i usually ride 7 km on non stop w/0 much traffic...Read More

MAN JST 1 question,what is the temp on engine whn you ride about 10 kms,is it more than other bike or my bike got some issue, please reply, and also post your mileage in average traffic

that ofcourse good and exception if it done on city, dont allow the so called genius service engineers to tamper your air fuel ratio, its done from the company using imported sensors on exhaust , on service centre they use raw rpm based tuning, clearely mension it...if possible ,get done in your pre...sence....Read More

yes,srikanth i think so, here at kerala 6 months is minimum ,on cities like ernakulam they take more than an year to deliver,very intrestingly unicorn is available in black market in premium of 5000 rupees,with eady delivery, '' thanks for honda to provide such a lifeline option......''
