Actually I had selcted unicorn after a years research and 9months pain( I mean waiting period, 9 months for a black unicorn -horrible)
in 1 word this bike is awesome, b4 purchasing this bike, whn I ask the owners about the bike, not a single guy told me like, he wont like the bike, actually everyone loves it, they agree that honda is superior for there engg. achievements.every one ASSURED me a MILEAGE above 50 kmpl GUARRENTY.There are occns for them that they enjoyed 60+ mileage, at time I wont believed him 60+ will available only for 100cc not for 150cc.
MY EXPERIENCE
==1.suspension:
==not any bike on indian roads have better suspension I bet.lot of non uni friends told that mono suspn is bad and cornering become an issue, but on myexperience I feel FLOATING somewhereover the air, trust me on riding the vehicle on first time I was feeling like hanging over a cushion tied to a flexible rod over my height.just awesome.cornering.best in class, if mono suspn is bad y it is uses in super bike exclusively.
Before 1 st service: only 45 KMPL I was frustated and got sad, but on enquiry I found its normal b4 ist service
After 1st service: jump to 51 KMPL
AFTER 1000 KM: increased to 55 kmpl
again on an on an occassion amasing 63KMPL(460KM/7.3 L) this involved 4 journeys of 60+ km and increased tyre pressure front 25to 26.rear 29 to 31.
now getting avg mileage 55+,
power: good
quality of parts and paint: excellent
worst: service is really a pain
old unicorn, cbz shared same engine but new unicorn engine is unique only dazzler shares it with slight modification, hunk and cbz extreme uses a revised version of old cbz engine not new unicorns engine, they r only guarrenty only 35+ mileage, but new unicrorn able to deliver 50+ mileage
==my little assumption:
==1.i keep rpm below 4000 before 2000 kms and dont allowed to heat engine so much, and I avoided pillion on steep uphill, not letting any one to harm ur baby uni.
2.rear tyrepressure increase increases mileage but compromising comfort, bike feel more jerky.
3.if ur engn feel too hot that ur leg is not able to hold, and lose in power may be clutch wire needs adj, myexp.
4.on first 1km on the day bike, lazzy to accelerate nor reluctant to raise, its normal, start on choke raise to 3-4k on choke for 30s, dont worry, it wont cost u much on petrol, because, a warm engine is more fuel efficent, and on normal run with out choke needs4-5 kms to reach the engine to deliver the best eeconomy
5.keeping the vehicle for long time over road on cold condition and sudden start and u turn -be cautious ur uni may not able to raise the engn and may cause a hip-kups or lag.
6.best elevated riding position, am 6 feet height, feel best riding posture -a prestigious position

13/12/2011 Disappointments starts:
I am very disappointed to write this update, may be I got the unlucky 1 in 10000, my bike shows some problem, it start to lose power and started small noise from engine, on running the sounds become louder, on 05/12/2011 I given bike for service after complining on hmsi web site, a lady called me and recommended to produce bike in 2 days. on 08/12/2011 morning, I delivered my bike back, with a changed cam shaft and rocker arm, they told me that the rocker arm got faulty, and changed whole set along with cam shaft, whn I reached my office, 32 km from service centre, the whole problem came back, again noise with a slight change in tone, wht can I do. I called the custumer executive and asked my satisfaction letter back.that works .5 minutes she called me back and asked my location and I promised her that there is no need, I will produce bike on after noon, on 5.00 pm I given back my bike, nxt day they told me that the fault may be due to clutch bell, and no stock available, {luckily I had not sold my previous bike, thanks god.} on 13/12/2011 on morning they called me and told my bike is ready after service.they informed me that they havent changed the clutch bell instead they RESETTED MY ENGINE.and its ok .i was wondering that I have running this 4200 km on wrong setting, for addition to my exclamation she told that they had adjusted torque at the correct length, is this torque is some physical parts inside engine? nothing more the sound is coming again now with completely different tone-rattling sound(some like low frequency, spark like sound), not good and not normal but there senior mechanic cant able to hear that sound, and he started 2 more unicorns there and told me that all sounds are identical.NO ofcourse no.but what to do.his face losses patience, so no offence, I signed satisfaction letter and cleared spot with a lost heart. I AM GOING TO BOOK ANOTHER UNICORN.
17/12/2011( GENUINE HONDA SERVICE ENGINEER).
changed my mind. going to wait for 1 more month and see what happens.becauz my engine become so soft and smooth.and gear shifting become so "butter smooth".and my engine does not heat as much as it earlier. HOW CAN I MISS HER.i am going to wait for 2 month and also one more information== HONDA have a SERVICE ENGINEER in every state== who visit all major dealership on rotation base, my dealer promised me to inform when he comes, according to my information he got unlimited authority to change the parts if he convince to do so, all dealers are having limited authority and ofcourse knowldge, am now waiting for him.

my unicorn now at 4800km, after all what from my expierence is that service centre guys never tell the truth, one tell adjusted other tell changed.after the service I noticed a rattling noise from engine on accelerating or throtling and on climbing, after 600 km after service valve sound started again.thanks to service geeks.if u can, HMSI please send me a technician at my pillion, so that after every 100 km he can again adjust the valve .just kidding.

Today I got serviced my 3 rd free service, told them every thing and including all above
they changed oil, water washed thats all,
I checked job card, they adjusted clutch, tuning, regarding overheating and rattling noise marked normal
I asked the supervisor he started 4 other cb unicorn all are having engine sound much more than exhaust, and on one cb unicorn there is rattling sound,
technician told me thats common complaint in all cb unicorn ie engine noise and powerloss than previous unicorn,
on my ordinary unicorn is superior to there upgraded model cb unicorn in terms of power and silent engine.
my problems were
1.rattling sound from engine(negligible): still not corrected may be I can fix it on nxt service
- valve noise :{ it was not valve noise I confused after genuine oil change all the noise reduced}
3.overheating:{after oil change temp become normal}
4.gear become some more tight again.not so butter smooth{oil was guity, now silky smooth}
5.low average only 49 kmpl onaverage, I usually ride 7 km on non stop w/0 much traffic.{mileage increase to 52 after}
