@shekhar21 I partially agree with you that sellers play big role in determining the proper delivery of products. But the policies are determined by the companies. Mainly the return policy of snapdeal is pathetic. Most of the negative reviews in mouthshut..com are related to problem with refunds. In ...my opinion, the ease at which one could cancel an order and time period by which they could get the refund is crucial for online purchases. Because, in contrast to direct shop purchases, here we buy products simply by looking at their pictures on the screen. We have no direct interaction with the seller. No physical inspection or demo of products. So when we take a risk in placing an order, the assurance of cancel/return/refund gives us the confidence. when that is not taken care properly, obviously people get apprehensive. Snapdeal need to revise their refund process and policy similar to FK & amzaon. I shall try the site you have mentioned next time I buy.Read More

Minutes after the above response came from snapdeal, I am communicated that the refund will be initiated. Though I am happy for this positive development, I feel that this should have happened when I directly contacted snapdeal a number times through their customer care number.
