It is easy to comment about a bank and forget that you did a transaction on your credit card and should have paid the bank, irrespective of whether you get your statement or not. You were waiting for 4 months from the date of your first transaction to make a payment just becuase you didn't get the s...tatement ??? Stan C has been one of the best banks that I have come across. Remember, settlements are done only with a defaulter. Please pardon me if I didn't understand your problem properly but I feel that if phone calls weren't enough, you could have easily visited their credit card division and chopped their head off if you realised you were not at fault.Read More

I would like to agree with sajin_d about his review. I was an account holder in ABN AMRO since it took over the retails banking of BANK OF AMERICA. I was better off with the services of BANK OF AMERICA which had a class of their own. I took car loan services and personal loan services from ABN AMRO ...and repented more than ever. Even on the banking sector, they were returning my cheques in the name of system failure (not once, many times). I almost lost my credit card membership with Citibank since ABN AMRO returned 2 cheques of mine showing insufficient balance when there was enough balance in my account. When I asked them for a letter to this effect, they customer service executive tells me that...'you can ask citibank to call us and we will clarify the same to them. we cannot issue any letter'. Finally, I stopped dealing with this Bank and you would be surprised that this bank still sends me a statement of account showing a debit balance. The only good thing about this bank was their cheque pick-up facility and cash delivery. They were extremely prompt in that service ...although am not sure whether it is still prompt or not.Read More
