ICICI finally admitted their mistake. There was indeed a promotion at CROMA in Oct where they were supposed to give the cash back .. now the cash back has been credited to my account .... @nitinshopping - yes i did read the fine print and only then confirmed the transaction. Ever since ICICI hi...t me with fuel surcharge because the pump swiped my card on non-icici machine (over which I have no control), i am double careful of using ICICI card anywhere ... This is a legal compliance that ICICI has to give. ICICI has not gone out of their way to resolve disputes.

This is actually falling foul of anti-trust laws. ICICI cannot insist on bundling their device at merchant and link it to customer transactions. Which machine is installed at merchant end is a contract between merchant and bank. Which card to use is in customer control and is within contract between... customer and bank. As long as ICICI card is used by customer surcharge should be reversed by ICICI. This is how big corporates get away in this country.Read More
