well for the criticsm here's one straight out from the mag(WHAT CAR UK JULY 09)
'Fiat Grande punto' Rating 2 Stars.

'The Fiat Grande Punto might fare better than its predeccessor (Punto),but that's not saying much.Only three superminis performed worse in ...this year's survey.
Reliability just isn't up to scratch.Too many owners reported mechanical faults, and issues with the interior and exterior were also commonplace.That made Grande punto drivers frequent visitors to their dealer, and they didn't enjoy the experience.Both staff and the quality of work got a definate thumbs down.
When their cars were working properly,owners were happy enough with the Grande Punto's ride and handling,and the roomy cabin,but there's no disguising their poor result' UNQUOTE.
Well yes it is from a magazine and iam not prejudice against Fiat,but the whole point of knowing the product and writing in this blog is to know the pro's and cons,and agreed Punto is a deal for this price but why look price prospect and gear offered in the trim's these are only as good as your vehicle.
Its thumbs up for Fiat for launching such a superlative product, but my arguement is that a product deserves a fair share of a runing on the road, same goes with the Hond'a (which i must admit are absurd and pretty weird in their latest pricing of 'Jazz') or for that matter Maruti's etc.
Iam not taking any credit for the review as it is out of a mag and not mine,morever as i have mentioned in write up earlier, i have tested a higher spec and trim in UK,so iam not justified to write any thing about the review back home ( made spe.
And for those who think i have been paid by fiat competitors to write this review,ghosh i would really like if that was the case,as it is mother expensive living here,any extra money does help.
So no denial it is fantastic product by a reputed company (FIAT) but let's watch and see.
