There are various reasons for the mileage drop... It could be a bad settings in carb or piston rings worned out.. . Get ready with some money that you want to put in and do the mechanical work at one time.. Just check Piston/Cylinder condition, change air filter, make sure there is not air leak, c...lean the silencer.. do a full service.. the mileage obviously drop year after year but as long as you maintain it well, it should give somewhere around 30-40kmpl Read More

rebore should be done from experts and I dont believe we have such a expert. If are ready to spend the money, put the new piston/cylinder and change the chain sproket... dont use broader tyre....

You can ofcourse have Disk brakes but broader tyre reduces the pickup and mileage... but you will see excellent road grip... My opinion about 5 speed is different. The chances of running on 5th gear is rare especially in town.. so mileage will drop if you go for 5 speed.... If you dont care about mi...leage, just go for any alterations.. but remember, broader tyre cannot give the original pick up...Read More

Remember after certain years, we need to get a vehicle fitness certificate.. That's the rule but no one cares. If you dont have VFC, the vehicle has no value from Insurance perspective....

Since you said Hyd.. I'm assuming you are still in Hyd and surprised that you didn't find a spare parts shop(ofcourse not original spares).. There are tons of small business guys who are producing all 2 and 4 wheelers spares.. Its all made in India but they never say that... We have to live with the... duplicate spares but it works.... I am glad you are getting 40kmpl... May be a very smooth rider and not exceeding 40mph... Usually it gives 30-40 for typical RX owners..Read More

Nope.. Not 100% true about 55km/l. You can get around 40-45max in 135 engine.. Its better off staying with 100CC unless you are ready to spend for changing the engine.. I believe you must have changed the sprocklets/bearings etc..

Hi, I agree that RX has starting problem but can't believe that it's giving such a huge s'ting problem. I own 2 RX(RX-135 & RXZ) bikes. This is what the typical RX problem After leaving the bike overnight in a cold condition, one must use the choke to while kick start in the morning and it shou...ld start in 3-4 kicks provided your air screw is in the factory recomended condition. Most of the RX users will adjust the screw for many reasons. For your problem... I would suggest the following to fix the issue permanently.. 1. Check the air screw and keep it as recommended atleast for few months 2. Replace a good quality sparkplug. Check the sparkplug wire and cap. I believe it's cheap and can be replaced too.. 3. Change the fuel filter and if affordable, clean the petrol tank. 4. Clean the carburettor and change the air filter if affordable.. It's a maintenance free bike and shouldn't let us think about bike while commuting... For your problem, the problem could be anywhere, so it's better to get the 4 steps done(if affordable) instead of fixing one and waiting to see the results.. I have got a expert mechanic and he suggested to these procedures if bike is seriously giving this problem.. Hope this helps...Read More

Hi Muralee, Can you explain the remote kid cost and feasibility. Does the battery need to be upgraded while using remote start/stop option? Hi Friends, I would like to update my RX135 with FZ16 Alloy with dis brakes. Anyone tried this option? Will it be a good fit without any modifications? I see some Sports spares has arrived but I would be interested only in Alloy and discs and not the muffler. Appreciate any suggestions!!!!

Sukh Bhaiya, I am impressed with your bike's alterations. It's like a every lasting style. I would like to know where I can get the alloy wheels and whether I need to make any changes if I go for alloy? I also want to have Front Disk breaks. Please let me know

Friends.. Do we still get original or imported spare parts of RX? It would be great if anyone can give the location where I can get spares. I am looking for Piston/Cyliner/Carburator. I think rest of the parts can be replaced with local manufactures

Hi Eashwar, Good to see a member in RX family. Since I am out of india for many years, would like to know whether the environmental team is looking for some rules to take out all 2 strokes out of the road? Also, do you still get the original spare parts of RX? I would be glad to get spares if it'...s still availableRead More
