Dear Ruchir, Whether you read the book or not is up to your choice, and it certainly isn’’t another ’’The Inheritence of Loss’’ or ’’The Sea of Poppies’’ for sure though amongst this genre of pop-rock-chick-lit this one is undoubtedly the best at this point in time. However, the book is widely... available, as far as my experience goes. It is available at all Crossword stores and you can buy (as I always do) online from www.flipkart.com. Flipkart has an unique Cash-On-Delivery system and you can pay the delivery boy the money. Credit card or net-banking is not required to purchase online from this fabulous site. Also, they offer huge discounts and the delivery is absolutely free. So, you can get books of your choice at 10-30% less than market price sitting at home. I would request all book lovers to try www.flipkart.com.Read More

Well Deven, Don't quite agree. Chetan Bhagat was the pioneer and no one can quite match Five Point...

This is one movie that one watches with rapt attention, mesmerized by the performances of the actors and leaves with moist eyes. Men-women relationships can be intense and this movie just spreads in front of you the beauty and pain of it all. The movie is based on a 1995 German novel by Bernh...Read more

Mathursaab, This novel is quite enjoyable and entertaining though you should read it with a 'Chetan Bhagat' type of reader mindset and compare it with stories by writers of this genre.

But the book is on the bestseller list. Negative publicity often makes one curious.

A very good review indeed. I too have grown up fed on her novels, though I must admit I haven't read this one. Surely, I'll read it shortly. By the way Mathursaab, have you read Steig Larsson? Waiting for your review, the best that I find on this board.

Dear skeptics, There are very good books which do not become bestsellers overnight. It takes time for the word to spread. This book will certainly become a bestseller in a short while from now. For the information of you guys, even Sholay ran to empty houses for a first few days. As far ...as adverstising through this medium is concerned it makes no sense, for hardly around 200 people read book reviews. As per the intro of author on the cover, he is a well-paid professional and can certainly spend some money for publicity by other better means. Why is he not doing so is a mystery. Those who are wary of wasting time and not Rs. 100/-, I would suggest you guys read just the first chapter of the book or any one chapter in-between and then ditch the book. I am sure you won’t be able to do that and end up reading the entire story. And all you guys’ NU or SU ratings are totally useless, since you have not read the book, but just making assumptions. It will be only carry some weight if you read the book and then rate it or comment about it.Read More

Dear Deepak, Instead of making assumptions, why don't you read the book yourself and submit your own views. The book costs just Rs. 100/- and so I am sure you can afford it. If you don't want to spend that too send me a M2M with your address and I will courier the book to you. I too feel like m...any others that this book should get its due. DeepRead More
