Now I think, Y series allows users to record TV programs. I purchased Lenovo Y 500 47Q which has Shuttle Center that allows you record TV programs without s-video input. But I am pretty much disappointed with the volume of audio (lenovo service center engineers told that its a limitation with Y se...ries laptops) and absence of scroll button which you find in HP laptops.Read More

But D-SLR DSC-H1 or H2 are now outdated. Moreover, they are bulkier; you won't get face-detection, anti-blur, steady-shot, auto red-eye reduction and various scene selection features in these camera. Since lense doesn't come out when in shooting mode it makes sure that your lense won't be damaged i...ncase camera is dropped. I have found it convient to use as cmpared to my other old cameras such as DSC-P200, DSC-N2, and H1. What is less is the max pix. I don't think you everytime need to click for a poster-size photo. I typically use 5 mp resolution which is more than sufficient.Read More

Hi Amitabh, Yeah, you are right! If you buy a product from Sony World, India, it costs you more than it would cost you if you had bought it from the U.S. You might alternatvely think of buying from grey market but nobody will be responsible if some technical issues arise.

Hi Vidu, You don't have to really care for PAL/NTSC issues as nowadays most TVs come with both the display standards. Moreover when you create DVD or play the video on your PC they automatically convert to the preferred display standard.

but my suggestion is, if you can get DCR-SR200 from U.S. you should go for it rather than purchasing DCR-SR100. I won't suggest you to buy DCR-SR300 though

if you are buying it from India that would be (DCR-SR100E), you don't have to worry about it. And even if you buy it from the U.S. or other western countries, this handycam is compitable to both the formats.

I would suggest you should go for HDR-SR1 as it has more features with high definition video features with hard disk storage. DCR-SR100 is no more produced by Sony. The DCR-SR100 is equipped with a 1/3” 3000K Advanced HAD CCD with a Primary Color Filter, with slightly less pixels than last ye...Read more
