well,i've been using hoodibaba for past 1 year..its not that bad...around 60 kmpl mileage and great power.I easily climb steep slopes on 2nd gear on low rpms with my dad as pillion (who weighs 80kg!!) If at all u gotta choose between libero/hoodibaba, go for Hooodibaba....its way superior. The brak...es,mileage, n power....libero doesnt stand the test at all..M really surprised what made u think of yamaha 4-strokes they r total crap n highly inconsistent in performance.Read More

Hi there, dont think it gives u 90 or 80 kmpl!! R U kidding? I think its not possible to break the carnot cycle algorithm that mechanical engineering propitionates.Well if at all a 100 cc bike churns 80~90 kmpl then maybe other bike manufacturers pleae shut shut shop. Are the bajaj's n TVS' listen...ing??Read More

Hi Nitin, Some solutions : 1.Isolate honest petrol pumps..who give anywhere close to 1000 ml of petrol !! If u r staying in pune..write to me I will tell u those. 2.Check for RPM setttings..~900 for cold start..~1300 for hot start. 3.Cleanup air/oil filter after a long trip or ~1000kms irrespe...ctive of servicing. 4.Mileage is always a tradeoff...try driving below 4000 RPMs that should give u more than 60 KMPL in pune city..(m doing the same n getting aforesaid mileage comfortably) 5.Prey on the beauty of this bike..i.e. it can be used for mileage as well as great pickups..I have tried both things n quite happy with the results..Though agree with ure observations regards to suspension. I bought my hooodibaba around 18th Aug 03 n drove it like crazy on highways (right to ozar, lenyadree, malshej ghats..) & city suburbs kothrud, satara rd et all.Just yesterday happened to ride my friends..YAMAHA libero..its performance prompted me to rest assure that i made a good decision of buying this bikeRead More

cmon yaar...if u drive above 4000 RPM's there's no way on earth that u get 70 KMPL...defies logic...

apart from driving ure bike around 3000 rpm,i would suggest u to set the idling rpm to around 1000 rpm,so ure warm start rpm reaches ~1300 rpms & then u get good pickup n mileage too.All the best

Yeah kannan,u r right.any mileage of above 55kmpl for 111.6 cc bike in city is good.sometimes,i doubt whether anyone gets 70kmpl riding a 110+ cc bike!! Set RPM to ~1300.Caliber 115's RPM count reduces after riding few hundred Kms.Dont drive at high RPM's(>4000).dont race madly. This bike is for ...smooth drives, for raacing stuff,u have Yamaha bandwagon. Happy Biking !!Read More

Hey Guys, parag n i are classmates.I bought hoodibaba (read my review) n he got a wind 125 !I fully agree with him the company showroom is not only understaffed but not knowledgeable too! I still dont know why the fuel indicator reaches to empty mark and then the bike signlas the reserve.I aske...d the guys there & each one gave a different answer. My bike gives mileage of 65 kmpl but when driven at high rpms, mileage has dropped to ~60.I wanted atleast 70 kmpl...like victor :((. For all those like Parag & me who think buying from company showroom in Pune may get better after-sales service ....i advise to buy from some needy dealer...he is more likely to look into ure problems nicely.Read More

has Bajaj smooched u into writing those mileage figures ?? :-).Agree with metalmaniac its impossible to get mileage of 65-68 driving at high rpms.Thas coz high speeds mean burning more fuel to generate the power necessary to achieve/sustain those speeds.I own a hooodibaba and get nearly 65 kmpl mil...eage but driving at nearly 40 kmph.Driving at high speeds means getting lesser mileage.I think u better clarify ure stand on mileage...or recalculate it with precise amount of fuel.Only then can we believe u....BTW even a splendor doesnt give mileage above 50 kmpl driving at high rpms (speeds close to 70 kmph).Try it out for ureself n then come and tell meRead More

Completed my 1st servicing...the mileage now is nearly 59~60 in city.;which i think is a lot less...New buyers there don't buy bajaj stuff, they r selling substandard stuff by sheer marketing of 'hoodibaba' moniker...Instead go for TVS Victor...its sure to give u 70+ mileage in city...how i wish i ha...d been a little more wiser....:((Read More
