Hi mac14 You said it right. Gshv25 may be an employee of Hyundai motors, or he is among others who bought Santros without test riding a Spark and not in a position to upgrade to Spark soon. He is comparing a good 11 year old model, which gained decent sales because ride and handling of Maruthi ...800, and Zen was very poor than Santros. Another factor which Santros gained was there aren’t many options for the customers to choose from at that time. Daewoo motors made good looking, safer, fuel efficient Matis cars with AC and other amenities as standard and of course with a higher price tag. You can’t compare a 2009 model Santro with even the oldest of Matis in terms of safety features, ride, handling, fuel efficiency and customer satisfaction. Service interval is not an indication of the quality of the automobile. It is a matter of convenience only. In India I think it is better to be checked and serviced frequently by an authorised service personal as our roads, quality of fuel and traffic conditions are very poor. Resale Value – You better deposit your money in a bank and travel by train or bus. There is a lot of comments in favour of Santros (“My car is the best car”) and the only thing I can say is check yourself the features and compare the looks, fit, finish, quality of plastic & paint used, interior space (as we usually don’t jump inside the car, ‘more headroom’ is of no use), comfort of seats, storage etc and decide yourself. Beige interior actually cuts visibility. What made you think its an advantage? 18kmpl may not be true. I'm getting overall milege of 14kmpl with AC. Please compare Spark's boot space with Suzuki Swift's. It's almost same.
