Ok, the honeymoon seems to be over. My car stopped in the middle of road 3 times this week in thick traffic. The ignition switch would not respond. The breakdown service asked me to put the vehicle on 4th gear and push, got it started and then took it to service. Service folks had no clue and were p...ointing to the security system. The car started again and we went for test drive. While taking a U turn the car stopped again. The service person now understood. After a lot of debate I pointed out that this seems to me like some loose connection and nothing to do with the battery or security system. It turned out to a 'solid wiring' problem under the steering column and turned out to be more of a loose connection issue that took only about 5 mnts to fix. But had to yell my way out to explain and get the work done. And it is disappointing that a 6 month old car would have this problem. So much for reliability. My faith in Maruti is gone.
