getting over heated in the tirumala ghats is absolutely not acceptable for a new model like zen estilo. None of the modern cars should face this problem. I have been to many of the steeper ghat sections like Ooty, Coonur, Kemangundi and Chicmaglur in my accent and getz and i never faced this problem.... We were 5 people in a maruthi 800 when we took it up to the tirumala hill and no issues at all. The service station guy might have been working for vintage cars prior to Bimal. His idea of this happening in all the cars is absolute bull shit. Please get your car checked in a nother service station or may be talk to the same guys with the support of our veiws of this being a serious problem with the engine coolent system. at times it does depend on the driving as well, you should not put too much of pressure on the engine by giving it high and unwanted revs. the model you have is powerful enough to take the ghats easily, just dont take it above 3 rd gear and try to shift down to 2 nd when it need more power. make the gear shift at the right time and not just before the engine starts knocking. i hope this would help you.Read More

Hi CRPP, Yes I have driven it on highways, it is a great package in total. My car though is new one and I have not driven it above 90 Kmph (as per the instruction manual.) I have driven my friend's car, same model, it does quite well on highways, you should make proper use of the gears, do... not expect it to pull from 40Kmph to 110Kmph in the fourth gear in just 5 seconds, it will dissapoint you and for that matter any car would. I normally switch from the options of A/C on to off modes whenever I need immediate pickup or response from the engine, in my accent and in getz as well. This helps you to be very quick and safe on highways. With A/C on, 1.1 L engine becomes a bit sluggish, but its ok to switch off the A/C for 10-20 seconds at times and take the maximum out of the engine. To be very frank, Swift has great pickup, but the ride quality is not good enough when compared to getz, For me- driving pleasure is not just pickup, its also important to have good ride quality, comfort, visibility, features & balance and in all these aspects getz is for more better when compared to swift. Engine Noise in the cabin????? there is no such joke in getz, its built so well. You can trust me or go take a test drive and it you will notice no engine at all. Read More

Thanks for your comments, Getz CRDI was very expensive (around 6.6lakhs). I could buy an entry level sedan for this price if i could afford. Swift is definetely a good car, but as I mentioned, due to those numorous features that are missing in the lxi variant, I did not buy it. Maruthi Suzuki bra...nd image and a complete new styling is pushing it hard in the sales.Read More
