New Year eve of last year (2010) didn’t have many plans for me. Kids had vacation from 31 Dec. they wanted to go to mausi place at lucknow, earlier I had plan to attend annual conference there 26-29 dec but at last moment I dropped Idea. So I compensated my visit for New Year eve. Lucknow shatabti depart from here 6.15 AM & reaches Lucknow around 12 30PM. Lucknow is home of Huge buildings of Mughal architecture & of beautiful Huge gardens.
Barbeque nation at Inox mall was the place of wine & dine for us. I found this place is good for foodies. Grill is placed right on your table you can ask unlimited quantity of 6-7 variety of “off the grill food”. I ate 15-20 pieces of prawn 10piesces of fish &le amount chicken preparations along with different types of cocktails, all of these were more than enough for my stomach but in course it was followed by nice buffet, having variety of veg & non veg preparations. End of story was far yet after that I ate bowl full of Ice cream with different type of topping, different type of mousse &cakes & last but not least Dal ka Halwa.
Morning of ist day of 2011 was quite early for me ,I left my bed at 6.30AM & along with other members headed toward DR Ram Manoher lohiya park. It is huge magnificent well maintained garden, having restricted entry, heaven for Morning animals. Outer circle of park costs 3 KM, I ran the whole & then stretched & exercised as a penance to my bingeing of last night.
Kukrail picnic spot an alligator breeding centre & reserve forest, a destination 15 Km away from main city was our next target. Though it was not well maintained but was still beautiful & huge. Kids enjoyed a lot here.
Now we drove toward old Lucknow. Bara imambara (commonly known as bhul bhulaya) ,rumi darwaja chota imambara were infront of our eyes. Several beautiful & huge mosques are lined in this area.
Somebody had told us about tunda kababi in this area we reached to him but unfortunately only beef is served here.
