Males are infamous for forgetting important dates that they share with their partners. I am also not against the rule & had missed my second marriage anniversary celebration & spent whole day & night at G B Pant hospital &did emergency duty as a senior resident in cardiothoracic ICU. Then I learnt & started to plan a vacation in advance almost every year around this notorious date which is 24 Jan, & as I was born & live in India, 26 Jan is gifted to me as a leave by govt. Last year on occasion of our Ivory anniversary we explored Manali & got nostalgic about memories of honeymoon trip at same place; it was shimla Manali & mussoori which had witnessed our personal time just after marriage 15 year back. But for present year, truly speaking, I had not much plans in advance only shimla was in silent corner of my mind. Suddenly we were invited for a CME in mussoorie, so eventually we proceeded to one of the destinations which we had covered 15 years back.
This time experience turned different from previous one because one of my old fellows Jyoti & Rajesh Jagga with family accompanied us. We sat together enjoyed together laughed together & gossiped unlimited so day became shorter, time went insufficient for our vacation.
We took Dehradoon shatabdi, which departed 6.50 Am &reached dehradoon around 1 PM. Mussoorie was still 30 KM far from us, we were transported by road to there.
Fortune resort had been booked, it belongs to welcome group, nicely located on a corner of Mall Road, with magnificent view of valley.
We refreshed after taking a hot water bath, buffet at dining hall was eagerly waiting for us. We pumped it in our stomach, which was thankful to us for nice food.
Then we roamed inside the resort & tried to explore minor details of it. Then our carnival moved toward mall road. Effects of “off season “were visible all around. Empty mall road looked like play ground & definitely we enjoyed its soul.
A karaoke was programmed for night with cocktail; a list of songs with code number provided to us, by clicking the code number, software plays music accordingly & lyrics appeared on screen so all doctors became marvelous singer for that night. According to performance software also gave percentage to each. When party got a good momentum 5 doctors stood all are from same institute, Varda medical college& sang a group song. Suddenly we felt we are also five from same medical college, & our group song begged highest points 98%.
Next day we Bunked CME & walked on Camel Back road. It is a beautiful road of musoorie, one side is magnificent view of valley & other side line of green mountains, at the mid of road there is a peak of a mountain which looks like back of camel.
Gun point is other beautiful place to visit but with huge commercialization.
After lunch we drove to highest point of city, Lal tiba, driving up to here is tad tricky, Ice was visible here & there during way & at the Top. Beautiful iced caps of Shivalic range soothed eyes from a distance. Then we moved to Kampty fall, we had very nostalgic & lovely memories of here, we have biked up to here from Dehradoon during our honey moon period. But now it got a big makeover in these 15 years. It became more commercial on the cost of some of naturality. But still it was worth to come here.

On 3rd day whole group went to Dhanaulty, 30 KM from mussoorie on chamba road. The way was lined up with significant amount of snow throughout Snow-capped peaks accompanied us closely. Dhanaulty nests nature parks, good place for day out. But we moved toward famous Surkanda Devi temple which requires drive of 7 KM more. The temple crowned peak of a mountain .2-3 km climbing is required to reach here. There was great view from height awaiting us.
On evening we returned by Shatabdi from Dehradoon.
