Where I am Going

That the Beatles story is inextricably associated with acids, cannabinoids and marijuana barely tarnishes the sheen of their legend, that Benjamin Franklin had an illegitimate son does not show in his image on the hundred dollar bill, that when we commit the most appalling of mistakes it is not the end but another start.

Mistakes speak of an imminent failure. Failures forecast a success. Sure there are significant stories of peerless successes but never has there been a certain requirement for achievers. There could be flaws and dents, blemishes and offenses; in the end it’s only imperative that I stage my own comeback.

Judgments are bound to vary as per what the current picture of a person speaks, some justified and some perhaps not. It’s a lifelong process to season a character. A persona that maybe admired worldwide is not an ideal figure of principles and achievements or the zenith of human possibilities. Because nobody ever does reach what they say in a purist’s psychology jargon- the Super Ego level. It’s what a person is capable of doing apart from their own shortcomings, which obviously are less apparent in case where recognition is lofty, that really matters and must be noticed.

My position here is not just about shielding myself and my mistakes, but also about emphasizing the importance of self analysis of one’s actions. Buddhism exclaims- “the power lies within you”. If I can determine what my limitations are, it’s already one limitation reduced.

So even though I don’t please everyone at all times, I am depending on myself to create a better me and regardless of all the distrust I seem to generate amongst others I am only apologetic and I won’t give up because I do hold in my mind that it is my own struggle, to be fought singly. For I also believe that knowing is better than wondering, that waking is better than sleeping, and that even the biggest failure, even the worst, beats the hell out of never trying.
