I had purchased this tablet from a website. The purchasing stage itself was quite interesting. The discount offered and the Max price is quite funny. The MRP printed on the box (pack/carton) was 2999/-. But on website you will see the max price as 4999 for one week and after ZZ% discount offered you get it for 2999/-. Next week the Max price on the same website become 3999 and you may get YY% discount and net price will be 3499. So overall the price will be jumping here and there.
I remember buying Deepavali pathaka. MRP on the packet will be 250/- You get it actually for 30/-. some thing like this only.
coming to the product. you get what you pay for! There are hundred and ten Chinese/(actually made in Hongkong) tablets and this is one of that. so don't expect any miracles form this.
This tablet runs on android 2.3 has a resistive screen/two mini USB ports(one is USB host port and the other one is USB OTG port)/ one headphones/one micro SD card slot and one DC in socket(see side panel photograph). The battery is 1500 mAh. It has 250 MB RAM and 4GB built-in storage memory. with WiFi support just like all other tablets.
unlike your laptop WiFi connection these tablet's WiFi reception is quite poor. in my next room 5-6 mtr away my laptop works comfortably on net, but tablet signal becomes too poor! (this must be true with all tablets)
Next 3G dongle support. Typically tablet firmware decides which dongles are supported. so do not assume that all dongles are supported. This tablet came with a list (pamphlet) listing all supported dongles. This is also stored in the tablet and can be accessed from supported dongles section in WiFi-connectivity.
one of my friend got at slightly higher price another tablet with android 4.3+512mb RAM+4GB bultin memory+3000 mAh battery.(teracom?) so look out for these features if you wish to buy a tablet
Yesterday I had purchased on mini usb male- usb female card and connected a mouse/pen drive. But the tablet got thoroughly heated up. I don't know whether this is problem with this tablet or with others. I had removed it after some time. It was just too hot. I was afraid some component will go phat!
other than this mini usb cable problem, this tablet is working as expected. I placed it near to my wifi modem and installed added many applications. Sound may be a bit low.
On Oct 1st week the smps power supply to this tablet pc has gone phat. Rated at 5V/2A it has just gone bad in no time. So I am lucky in the sense that my tablet vox did not give this problem for so long time (20 days till now)
