MBA.... very common acronym
Master of Business Administration or Master of Bullshit Administration
It varies from person to person that how they are going to perceive it. There are infinite views on credibility of MBA or the credibility of Business Schools. I won't get into this that whether MBA is the path to success or it is overrated in India and it nothing more than normal degree.
What is the purpose of my writing this post is just to share some things of my life which I feel while pursuing MBA.
No doubt the teaching methodology in good Business schools is very rigorous as the name MBA already suggests. So many subjects in one term, regular presentations, group activities, individual exercises, simulation exercises, group projects, reports, and no of excruciating activities. I guess above activities itself suggests that the schedule of person must be gruelling and strenuous who is in B-school. Obviously it is.
But there are ample amount of time so that individual can devote his or her time in other activities other than studies. Living in hostel inside the college with diversified business minded people in itself is different feeling, there is no sign of sleep till 4 am in night, sometimes working on the projects in night, sometimes doing party, sometimes in canteen with friends, celebrating the birthdays of friends and no of other things. Participating in extra curricular activities, functions, meetings, conferences, guest lectures is quite interesting.
Roaming outside the hostel in night, enjoying the greenery, watching the couples, eye-toning, watching the group of individuals partying in their full mood. In all MBA is adding value to my portfolio. I don't know about others and I won't get into the sayings of others, I know only one thing that it is preparing me for the Corporate world.
