The curious case of the mystery gift

One evening, about a couple of months back, I came home from the office to find a yellow envelope waiting for me. I looked at the return address and found it had arrived from an address in Mumbai. I looked inside and found a cd set of Akira Kurosawa movie Red Beard. There was a picture on its cover of 4 Japanese/Chinese/Korean men in middle of a fight. Not a kind of a movie any of my friends would gift me.

I looked inside the envelope, looked at the address once more. No clues. I tried calling up a few usual suspects and drew a blank. Anonymous gifters at my age are rare. In fact they were rare when I was younger too !

I tossed the movie on the pile of my must-see movies and forgot all about it. But I saved the envelope just in case some tall handsome stranger turned up at my doorstep in near future claiming that he had tried to woo me with a mystery gift.

Then I moved house. In my new home I was trying to make sense of the rubble I had brought along with me when I came upon one yellow envelope. I tore it inside out and found a letter from Mouthshut.com pasted to one side. They were congratulating me upon winning the Hot Kiss contest and were pleased to announce that they were sending me a Cd set as a reward.

Thank you Mouthshut.

But it is rather odd to get a combat movie as a prize for winning a HOT KISS contest.
