With the ongoing tussle between Film fraternity and the Multiplex owners, we the masses are suffering the most. First the multiplexes showed us the way to watch movies in grand style at a disproportionate ticket price and then came big malls with multiplexes, to enhance our shopping cum movie watching experice. All this while we never realised there was a big hole already burnt in our monthly budgtes. We were still happy because even at these exorbitant prices, at least our office stress used to wear away every weekend.
But now with this standoff between both groups over mega crores of profit sharing, the common (urban) man is not allowed the 1 treat that most of us cherished at a cost of 200 bucks per ticket.
a) Do you think producers, actors are justified ? Are they being cheated by Multiplex owners ?
b) Do you think Multiplex owners are being held to ransom by producers, actors who already earn in crores per film (Human Greed ... Insatiable)
3) Do you think common man (again I quote - urban) is being made a joker in all this ?
Not a very intellectual topic for debate by any yardstick, but with the weekend approaching and no movies to look forward to, I am already trying to keep myself busy ... :)
