Hello MSians,
It has been a while rambling on mouthshut so here goes nothing but for a cause. But before I get there, let me tell you what prompted this. We had a maid, tamil lady, who has 6 daughters and stays near the corporation colony, close to Jayanagar 9th block, Bangalore. Bangaloreans would be aware of this place. So she tells us how she lost her 11-year-old daughter -she had sent her to fetch something from the neighborhood shop and she did not come back home. She searched everywhere only to find her deadbody in a nearby gutter. Apparently some lady , who is filthy rich, got some goons to rape her as a ritual to get good luck from 'om shakthi' or some God like that. She being a poor woman could not do anything even after filing a complaint with the police. So again I am left with a feeling of helplessness.
Anyways, the TCS 10K run is around the corner and we can actually do our bit to help change a life. I am endorsing a charitable trust called Vishwas. Why Vishwas is because it felt genuine and is helping innocent, poor kids have a home and protecting them from exploitation.
