Although, the CES 2013 was all about various kind of technologies like high definition technologies and video games and even technologies that can be used in the vehicles but it was the smartphone category that grabbed lot of attention at the CES 2013. The results of the CES 2013 are out and it is the Sony Xperia Z that has got the most attention taking 44% of the crowd attention.
While Samsung managed to be the most talked about manufacturer at the event it was Sony Xperia Z that has attracted the attention of most consumers with the kind of features that are incorporated into it. Sony already has a flagship smartphone called Xperia T that is very much a Bond phone. Sony claims that although Xperia Z is not flashy as the Xperia T is still has certain features that make it better.
While Sony Xperia T gets the 4.55 inch LCD screen that offers better picture resolution combined with Mobile Bravia Engine, Xperia Z gets 5 inch LCD touch screen that offers higher picture resolution because of 440 ppi on the screen. In many other ways Sony Xperia Z is superlative because of the added features and processor that is powering the smartphone.
The Sony Xperia Z also beats Samsung S3 with its bigger 5 inch screen while S3 only has 4.7 inch Super AMOLED screen. In terms of operating system, Xperia Z once again emerges as the winner because it offers Jelly Bean while S3 still provides Ice Cream Sandwich that needs to be upgraded to Jelly Bean and some of the S3 users are still waiting for the upgrade to happen.
While Sony has decided to incorporate 13 megapixel camera at the rear side of the phone, Samsung S3 struggles with the 8 megapixel camera which is good but still stands behind the higher megapixel shooter. Xperia Z also boasts of higher battery and top features like being shatter proof and water proof and scratch resistant glass which is lacking in Samsung S3.
