Random ramblings in a sad cloudy afternoon

I could not go to my work place for last 2 days, as I am suffering from Viral Fiver, thanks to weather change! We cried for rain and now after some shower, rain dance and party we are rushing to the medicine shops for paracetamol tablets! This is life.

We are not going through a very stable or peaceful situation in our lives. Maggi, most of us just can not accept that we should not eat Maggi any more. Mummies are really tensed just to find out an easy alternative for their children! We all know the adverse effects of Maggi already, but yesterday, one of my friends texted me, " Life with out Maggi is terrible, and he felt like his salary is cut or his bus route is changed and his household peace went away, his kids are in bad mood"!

Yes, the thought is crazy, I must admit. But, it is called Habit. Maggi has been our companion, our habit in several forms since our childhood. We have shared it with our friends at school, prepared Maggi at out hostel room on heaters before examination night or just to have some snacks when felt hungry at odd hours! I used to read the experience of people written on Maggi pack. No, I am not favoring Maggi anyways, I am just taking about nostalgc feel and hopelessness regarding Maggi. Life with out fast food is really really slow! (PUN INTENDED)

Here in Kolkata the Skeleton Episode at Robinson Street home is now talk of the town. People are now going to watch this "Ghost House". What I have read in the newspaper, the incident is really really shocking, horrible but most unfortunate! Today, I have gone through a column written by an eminent mental health activist who just asks us to be more sympathetic to the victim. We are just making a good story out of ghost House, suspicious death, skeleton, sexuality, worship of tantra etc and media has to play more responsible and sensitive role. I also agree to this.

A bright medical student of R.G Kar medical college in Kolkata got traced in his village by his childhood friends, who fled few days back from the medical college hostel just 2 days before his semester exam and kept his parents even the state police and administration in puzzled condition! Now, we come to know despite scoring good rank in his medical entrance exam and scoring good marks in last semester, he never wanted to become a doctor and wants to drop out from the course anytime. He was compelled to take up this course being pressurized by his father! Again, a common story. Why the so called educated and learned guardians fail to understand the mindset of their children? I just fail to understand.

On the other hand, lots of students(and their anxious parents too) are now attending the counselling session to get admission to any private college in West Bengal. So, the rate race has started between the colleges! Each and every college is now busy eating the seasonal fruits.

On the sports front, India played a spirited game under new captain Virat and we felt really good. Team director said, though the test is drawn, it is moral victory for India. Agreed. But, if we could some how showed this spirit against the mighty Aussie in the world cup semis!

Now, Dhoni and Co has reached Dhaka for the one day series and sure we will whitewash Bangladesh, though Bangladesh always expects to whitewash us! Just search on you tube the keyword" Bamboo is on in Bangladesh" and see the advertisement! This ad has created quite a BUZZ and is really in bad taste!

Even after 15 years of playing in test cricket, still they are minnows and it is unfortunate for cricket!

Last but not the least, common people are still waiting for some ACCHE DIN. though we do not know what it is anyways!
