RAHUL v/s SHIVSENA

Rahul Gandhi is no doubt a charismatic leader. He is youth icon of India and no doubt has done a great job in improving the system of ‘Youth Congress’ in North India. Among Maharashtrian youth ‘Rahul’ does really have a great image. ‘Sonia’s refusal to become prime minister had already raised her image to a great level and same is the case with ‘Rahul’. When he decided to work for ‘building youth’ and didn’t showed interest in any big position of party, he showed his integrity as a person and his maturity as a leader. No doubt the speeches he delivered till now were never filled with any ‘political hatred’ and his interaction with people, staying and eating in huts of poor villagers, reaching out in public fearlessly has made him very popular youth leader.

But recently the statements which he made regarding the soldiers who fought in 26/11,definitely created anger in Maharashtrian people. It reminded all how the ‘Gandhi’ family has always treated ‘Marathi’ people as ‘stepsons’ and yet used Mumbai to their maximum benefit. ‘Vidarbha’, ‘Marathwada’ and ‘Kokan’ etc were simply neglected many times, as if for them ‘Mumbai’ only is ‘Maharashtra’. That’s why it has to tie-up with NCP in many Districts of Maharashtra. No doubt that’s the only reason why ‘SHIV-SENA’ has always been a strongest party in Maharashtra. Because it was the only party on which every ‘Marathi manoos’ could depend upon.

‘MNS’ was probably not a big ‘hurdle’ in the path of Shivsena. It could have never become such a nuisance for it, if ShivSena has controlled its ‘criticisms’ and concentrated in its own work and agendas. And the same mistake ‘Uddhav Thackrey’ is doing again and again. Perhaps he still doesn’t understand yet that he is not ‘Balasaheb’ and he doesn’t have the ‘Charisma’ of Balasaheb. Every leader has different style and a leader should develop his own style rather than imitating other. And exactly that is where ‘Uddhav’ got wrong. He was much better leader initially when he was quite and composed. He became very ‘vocal’ nowdays and many times ended up in trouble for himself.

Raj Thackrey knew if he could have done anything in these 2-3 days, all credit had been gone in Shivsena’s kitty, so he did right thing by not commenting on anything about SRK or Rahul. Other people like Sanjay Nirupam ‘out of habit’ tried to capitalize this issue to show his presence to ‘North Indian Mumbaikars. Today’s visit of Rahul Gandhi to Mumbai on this occasion was like ‘Petrol’ in fire.

Shiv sena has announced already that it will show black flags to Rahul. But Rahul had something different in mind. He changed his routes. Travelled by train and reached Ghatkopar attended his ‘Sabha’, completed his work in Mumbai and again went back. All ‘Shivsainik’ waited and waited and waited.Yet Uddhav’s statement that ‘Rahul was insecured throughout’ showed that politicians are more creative in using ‘words’ than ‘poets or writers’.

Maharashtra state’s home minister was the biggest loser of the day. Whatever security arrangements they did today for Rahul Gandhi’s arrival, if they had done such arrangements in Mumbai earlier the 26/11 could have never happened. This shows the lack of empathy towards ‘Aam insaan’. Every one wanted to-prove their point. Shiv sena and Congress both wanted to show ‘Shakti-pradarshan’ and both of them have showed all Indians today to what extent our politicians can go to gain political power. They risked the lives of all their party workers. Rahul Gandhi by travelling train wanted to prove that he does not fear any threats, but he in process created so much havoc in travelers in the train. He risked his security guards. And misutilized all police force.

When Rahul Gandhi met all leaders Kripashakar singh, Bagwe, Chavan in Ghatkopar. That scene was the funniest of all. For some time I was thinking whether ‘Rahul Gandhi’ is CM or ‘Ashok Chavan’ is ‘CM’?? The way ‘Rahul Gandhi’ shaked his hands with CM and kept walking, CM followed him. The scene was ridiculous. And height of ‘Chamchegiri’ was ‘Ramesh Bagwe’ sahib carrying ‘Rahul’s footwears. Those who doesn’t know who is Mr.Bagle, find out by yourself. It is shameful to call him with that designation now. I remember the old news-clip of Gujarat where an IAS officer was touching feet of Guj. CM Modi. Everywhere there is same thing in India. So forget about it.

All politicians are same. Perhaps this is what morale of story.

Nope. It’s not the case. I still remember our Ex-president who himself used to get down of dais to give ‘Rashtrapati Puraskaar’ to the winners of such prestigious awards. Either he was in ‘wrong’ field or perhaps we need some more people like Kalaam sir in politics.

India needs good leaders again.
