Well the race tale with twist in tale continues as the friendly hare n tortoise started their journey of friendship by staying together in a jungle apartment.Everyday they used 2 travel by the same route 2 reach their respective workplace but at different times.They often used 2 meet for cup of Koffee at the jungle coffee cafe.
The tortoise would be ready at 8 in the mornings & it would plod along slowly & steadily until he reached the work place.There he would work without any hassles & would have long slow enjoyable the hot piping koffee drink with the hare whenever they meet.The koffee always made him feel refreshed & alive & fill of energy.The tortoise was ready 2 start the day yet again with same dynamism.
The hare on the other hand,usually slept in & would not set off for the work until 9 AM.At some point of the day almost every day,he would screech past the tortoise,usually bumping the tortoise & he would reach the work place first even before the tortoise could start his work.Whenever he came 4 the koffee break,he would guzzle down the hot koffee so fast that it made him feel ill,burn his tongue & distend & he would have 2 rest near the nearest pan shop,burning cigs for at least hours before getting back 2 his normal self & catch his lungful of air back.
One day the hare was sitting puffing smoke,wondering 2 himself,why he goes through this routine everyday.At that moment,the tortoise was passing by.The hare without,being sounding breathless said "Don’t U get tired 2 being so slow?Ur life is so lackluster compared 2 mine.Wouldn’t U like 2 be fast & dynamic like me,have people take notice U & be in awe of U?"
The hare deliberated 4 a minute & said,"Yes,it is true that U always get the attention,U always reach the work place first,U're fast & dynamic & I do know people are intimidated by Ur style.However,I am happy with my life because I keep a cool head when I travel around & I can take in the panorama,enjoy the smell of flowers,the songs of the birds & the fresh air of early morning.I also have time 2 think as I walk around & I plan the best & most effectual route 2 take 2 the work place,discovering new things on the route every day.In addition,when I have taken the best route,I reach the work place with plenty of vigor 2 enjoy my work.Moreover,I always have plenty of strength 2 carry my day forward without any ratings & enjoy the way back home too”.
As the hare tried 2 consider of something witty 2 say but realized he does not have much energy in him 2 continue,the tortoise continued,"U know, people who know both of us say that they do have a high regard for U because of Ur speed & Ur dynamism & Ur 'get-up-&-go' attitude, but they also admire me,although for totally different reasons.They see me as being someone they can rely on;I am careful,I plan ahead,I always give myself time 2 think of the most effective way 2 of doing things.In addition,because I think ahead,I always have get-up-&-go 2 do whatever jobs I need 2 do.At the end of all this it’s a big world & we do both get 2 drink,eat,sleep at the same place."
Even though life is brutal 2 offer the winner post 2 only one,both the hare & the tortoise do complete the race & are remembered for their own strengths & weakness.We need 2 appreciate different people’s ability 2 perform tasks,which may be menial 2 some of us.We all are at awe at people who have this 'get-up-&-go' attitude & who are always busy & dynamic & dash around the entire place all the day.We also look down at people who are systematic,natural style being methodical,reflective approach 2 things in life.This is the horn of quandary; we all face every day in our lives.
Quite often we develop an impression about any person or object based on what we see or hear,overlooking the practices or technology or planning or perseverance that goes behind making the person or object.We are often amazed by the visual show or feat & we develop an indestructible opinion about the person or object that cannot be easily be erased.
Old myth remains germane even 2day because it seems 2 offer us a champion in the form of a heroic tortoise,who manages,in spite of odds,2 win a race.The emphases here are not the positives of the tortoise,but the negativity & the folly of the hare that makes stupid decisions.Awful things can occur 2 anyone,even the strongest & the intelligent.Imagine if the hare had not made the blunder there would not have been the moral "Slow & Steady Win the Race". But do remember that soberness,enthusiasm & perseverance can always prevail over the indolence.Without doubt,U would like 2 be modest & hope Ur statement would remain the same as in the Modern era we are all hares in the fast lane of Life.
