The government has once again done the unthinkable, they claim the poverty has declined in India. Well, kudos for the good work and will you please now tell me 'HOW'.
Well that has been the question that has haunted me since the UPA II came to power in 2009. How can they see so many scams happening in the country and still stay quite. How can they let their ministers go on a rampage with the public money and not utter a word. How can they still believe to return to power after 2014 Lok Sabha elections. And the list goes on and on and on.
Now coming back to the initial thought, how did they actually bring down the poverty. Did they once again lowered the amount of money one requires to exist in India, or did they forget to take into consideration the inflation that has been plaguing the nation since 2008.
Actually, what do they understand by the term poverty itself.
How can you reduce poverty in a country where people are finding it all the more difficult to arrange a day's meal. How can you bring down poverty in a country where kids are dying eating your mid-day meal? How can the poverty be low when the ministers on duty don't shy away from making remarks that can actually create tension within the different religious groups in the country. Just tell me HOW, HOW, HOW......
