Now, Hon. Justice R S Sodhi (now ex - correct if I am wrong?) has pitched into defend Moninder Singh Pandher in the infamous Nithari killings I have been debating within myself whether to record my inner feelings or not.
Justice R S Sodhi of the Delhi Court has reserved a place for himself in the hearts of people (read: Indian middle class) & a honourable place in Indian legal history by pronouncing landmark justice in the Jessica Lal murder case. Quashing the lower court order, a Bench comprising Justice Sodhi and Justice PK Bhasin sentenced main accused Manu Sharma to a life-term and gave a jail term of four year each to co-accused Vikas Yadav and Amardeep Singh Gill in face of immense pressure.
So, Justice Sodhi's decision to come out in defense of Pandher belies logic. Until I chanced upon a fact: Both Justice Sodhi & Moninder Singh Pandher are alumni of Shimla's Bishop Cotton School. Is it just a coincidence? Or more. much much more than meets the eye.

While, the infamous Ramalingam Raju of SATYAM SCAM though languishing in jail seems to be doing pretty fine as the 'wheels of justice' seemingly are moving excruciatingly slow.
& now we have Mr. Varun Gandhi's criminal diatribe against Indian muslims - religious minority in India.
Under the Section 153A of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 125 of the RPA, promoting enmity between different groups on various grounds including religion is punishable by imprisonment which may extend upto three years.
What to make out of all this 'tamasha'?
Does Pandher deserve any legal defense when his crime is so horrendous & palpable? Is he not a plain child molester; a killer of the last resort? Even if Pandher deserves defense in lieu of 'supposedly' miscarriage of justice in his case as "facts" prove his innocence, one is at pains to reconcile with Justice Sodhi coming out in his defense.
Does not Ramalingam deserve speedy punishment under 'a fast track court'?
& Mr Varun Gandhi - well, he has already enacted a well rehearsed drama during his recent arrest in Pilibhit.
All these issues & personalities, in fact, are immaterial to what is the unfolding of phenomena across entire India in the heartland of the Indian classes. These issues & persons are signifiers of the decadence of the Indian classes which has been happening over a few decades.
All 3 are the 3 faces of Indian classes.
Pandher signifies amoralisation of Indian classes. He is the pinnacle.
Ramalingam Raju signifies the rapacious economism of the Indian classes. The pursuit of profit at all cost is not only glorious but justifiable. It has no moral or ethical boundaries.
Mr Varun Gandhi signifies the already polarised & communalised Muslims & Hindus with more Hindus joining openly or covertly onto the saffron bandwagon of BJP/Hindutva forces. Varun's act furthers the already fractured pan Indian identity of Hindus. Make no mistake, in the near future we might be telling 'foreigners' in our drawing rooms that India is not only 'for Hindus, by Hindus & of Hindus but that India is Hindustan with distinct communal overtones bereft of 'Hindustan's' historical & acommunal & areligious overtones. That Indians other name is 'Hindu'.
This is the SATYAM ofPandher, Ramalingam, Varun & the classes - Indian. Igonre it at your peril!
