Name calling by other members

I do not understand why some people here on Mouth Shut react the way they do when another member expresses a contrary opinion.

Quite some time ago I had written an unfavourable review about Grand Sweets in Chennai.

I had not used any intemperate language but merely expressed my dissatisfaction with that shop.

Suddenly a few days ago, a new member one "Vaayamuudu" posted a comment in my review calling me a DONKEY. I quote from Vaayamuudu's comment:

we have a saying ’Does a donkey know the smell of camphor?’’

Florien, you are a donkey. Don’t attempt to smell camphor.

In my opinion, this displays a total lack of maturity. If Vaayamuudu did not agree with my opinion about Grand Sweets, he or she was free to post their own review extolling the virtues of that sweetmeat shop. Or he or she could merely have disagreed.

Is it necessary to call people names merely because you disagree with their review? I have not used any bad language in my review. How juvenile can people get?

Grow up Vaayamuudu and anyone else who is inclined to call people names merely because you disagree with someone else's review.

I have sent Vaayamuudu a gift of a bunch of pink Mouthshut roses and I do hope his life is sweetened even more by Grand Sweets!
