this is to tell you the inside story of NMIMS University. As we all know it is one of the best private college for doing MBA but I want to raise a question asking whether it deserves the status this college has or not. I wouldn't like to comment on that. I will narrate the incidences that happened in the college and then you yourself decide whether it deserves the status that it has. Firstly, summer placements are big problem in this institution. As many as 60 students out 300 students had to use their own contacts to get summer placement. It is a college where a student is forced to do what he doesn't want to do. For example, in one of the sectoral courses, students are not informed about their summers till 3rd july when the summers are supposed to start from 15th September. the HOD of the course never communicatte about the developments. Here the professors are more interested in satisfying their own egos rather than taking descisions in the best interest of the students. The authoritative nature of the HOD has forced the students to compromise on their interest which would finally affect the overall development of the student.
I hope this whistle blowing would open the eyes of the management and they would take immediate action against the same.
