Mothers Day Wishes...........

I loved the Egg advertisement of National Egg Development Centre which used to telecast saying Sunday ho Monday roaj kavo Andey !! Even its Monday or Sunday, we remember, care and love our mother. Although every day should be a Mother’s day. Almost all countries in the world celebrate Mothers day irrespective of what religion they practice. Mother's Day is a celebration honoring mothers and celebrating motherhood, maternal bonds and the influence of mothers in society. The Moral and social Pillars such as, respect, trust and integrity is sowed by the mothers in their children. Nobody can replace or take a position of mother in anybody’s life. For any mother, whether he is criminal or president still he or she is a child and have rights to correct and shower the affection.

For a mother – here child is precious and most beautiful and greatest gift that God has gifted her. Mothers do not refuse or shy away to shower their love to their children in public and at the same time mothers take to announce their children’s achievement to her near and dear ones and club members. When we read about the mythological stories, most of the stories are really soul touching and many times shows the pain, adversities that mother undergo until the child is grown up to adult. Many a times the intensions are good, but due to misunderstanding , egos and undercurrent of controlling put the mothers in bad presentation. One should thank Ekta Kapoor for developing a content on the subject to degrade the relationships.

Mothers have a unique and crucial role in the lives of their children. Motherhood is not a chore or unpleasant task. Just as a mother bears a child during pregnancy, and just as a mother feeds and cares for a child during infancy, so mothers also play an ongoing role in the lives of their children, whether they are adolescents, teenagers, young adults, or even adults with children of their own. While the role of motherhood must change and develop, the love, care, nurture, and encouragement a mother gives should never cease.

Last week, I went to a music and bookshop, my attention was drawn to the a big poster displayed And in bold it was written – If Jesus can do this why not You ! John 19:26-27 When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home. This is really a heartbroken statement to reflect, hanging across the cross – I just cant imagine the thinking of providing a shelter, arranging a person who can take care in the old age. Just unimaginable. So, instead of just considering the words, if we consider the situation of utterance of those words, it would help us in being confident that cared about his mother. Because Jesus was about to die, he had to ask one of his most trusted disciples to take care of his mother and he really set an example for all those who have the responsibility of caring for their parents.

Bottomline

I recollect my tenth standard poem which we had to mugged up for preparing for the exams and then just forget it. The best part that I still remember is my English teacher crying when she started explaining the Poem- My Mother by Ann Taylor Who sat and watched my infant head When sleeping on my cradle bed, And tears of sweet affection shed? My Mother. When pain and sickness made me cry, Who gazed upon my heavy eye, And wept for fear that I should die? My Mother. Who taught my infant lips to pray And love God’s holy book and day, And walk in wisdom’s pleasant way? My Mother. And can I ever cease to be Affectionate and kind to thee, Who wast so very kind to me, My Mother? Ah, no! the thought I cannot bear, And if God please my life to spare I hope I shall reward they care, My Mother. When thou art feeble, old and grey, My healthy arm shall be thy stay, And I will soothe thy pains away, My Mother. Wishing all mothers a happy mothers day on May 13th.
