When I looked at the TV, I thought Bollywood Superstars.. hmmm... do they use normal products like Hamam Saabun, Dus Me Lux and LifeBuoy? Very unlikely and still we end up buying Lux soaps just because Priyanka chopra was battling eyelashes holding a bar of Lux soap! Why? Its a Good Soap... Can someone find a more innocent breed of men?


Elaboration, Does Hrithik have time for a Hide-N-Seek biscuit, amidst his tight schedules of 1 boring movie in 4 years? Can't really say... I bet he enjoys flying Kites more than doing films! And yet, we grab onto a Hide-N-Seek packet thinking "Kabhi to Hrithik ne Khaaya Hoga!"


After watching the numerous television commercials between cricket matches, which rather annoyingly, start the moment the last ball of the over leaves the grip of the bowler, I thought does Dhoni ride the Star City or is it his sparkling Harley Davidson that he is more fond of... Confused? Me too...


The best of the lot - Deodorant ads, which surprisingly end up in a Boy with deodorant getting the Girl.. And one can't start with explaining the logic behind these ads.. And still Axe effect is all over the place.. I mean nobody will know what brand of Deo you are wearing (Assuming, you dont carry the deodorant with you everywhere)...


We care more about the market value, than the actual quality of the product.. I wonder how many of us actually buy a product just because it is what you need, and not because somebody said it is? Advertisements do help in creating a favourable opinion for us.. but, does it really help in getting a better suited buy? I highly doubt that..


For now, let me go shopping and see what new Soap is in town! :)
