Welcome back to the MPL games after a rather protracted weekend. My M2M box tells me that Round 1 of the competition has been very closely foughtand immensely successful in terms to the participation levels, thanks primarily to an overwhelming response by the teams. I am very happy to inform that each one of the questions has been answered, though not necessarily by the same participant.
As my Internet connection is at best intermittent, at worst pathetic, I wont be able to post the Results of Round 1(unable to check the answers !!). The same will be posted alongwith that of Round 2. Would request you to bear with me.
But if you have your pads in place, we'd start immediately with Round 2. Here are the "balls" :-
(1) This actress and later long time character actress, began her career with her screen name Ambu. Identify her.
(2) The movie Chariots of Fire is famous for various things. However, it isnt so famous for the fact that a legendary cricketer acted in it. You have to name the cricketer.
(3) For a long time after India's independence, every month, the Postal office of Trichonopoly used to send a paper to the British Govt. with particulars described as Nil. What are we talking about ?
(4) What is common to Miller, Mikhaylovich, Morgan, Stearns & Surajprasad ?
(5) Identify the logo/cartoon.
(6) Leg slip, 2nd leg slip, fine leg, square leg, forward short leg, mid on....What is being described here ?
