MASSAGE PARLOUR OR STAR HOTEL ?

By: derebail2008 | Posted Jan 24, 2010 | News | 7166 Views | (Updated Jan 24, 2010 10:50 AM)

The desperation to satisfy a client in a Five Star Hotel in Bangalore, that too from ITC group has landed them in trouble. A case has been filed by a women employee of the hotel against the employees who forced her into giving massage to a male client probably in his room.

I am surprised to read the news that the employee whose name is withheld was forced to massage the client by HR Manager of the hotel. Well it is a news to me that the HR Manager undertakes marketing activity too to promote business. In fact the employee has stated that she was forced to have sex with a client earlier.

I hope the management of the hotel comes out clean and learn how to handle recessionary business ? It is obviously desperation or is it an established precedent we are not aware. I remember once long back I was approached by a marketing executive from the hotel to give booking in their hotel. She was better looking than current bollywood stars but never made any such overtures. We were impressed and did conduct a meeting in Windsor Manor.

Whatever the compulsions of business it is always better to avoid such extra ordinary service to the clients. It will only encourage flocking of such clients who expect massage and sexual favours from the group. This may lead to serious consequence in future with underworld too getting into the business. I hope the management understands the gravity of the situation and promotes the employee who has been harassed instead of firing her or transferring her and victimising her. Kudos to the employee for filing a police complaint against her own colleagues and bosses.

I am eager to check the reaction from DEV, SAJITH AND Paulose on this subject matter. It is my intention as a shareholder of ITC to awaken the management from the stupor and get the clean up act. I mean clean up act ethically not unethically by forcing the employee to retract her statement or coercing her to withdraw the complaint. From the newsreport on the complaint filed it seems that this activity has been going on for some months. Such promotional may not be found in corporate dossier or books. I am sure film makers like Madhur Bhandarkar or Ram Gopal Verma have a good story on their hand to create a blockbuster named the HOTEL.
