Lenovo Thinkpad Service Review

Hi guys , I have purchased a new Lenovo Thinkpad E 430 laptop in last December 2012. From first week of May 2013 I have started facing issues with it. My laptop was not get switch on for a few time (I have to press the power button 5 - 10 times). After switch on it was working fine.


Here's my Laptop serial number -


I made a request to Lenovo Thinkpad support(Request Number - 8001179603) about the problem. Then I received a service engineer from Lenovo on 30-5-2013.

Engineer's Lenovo ID - TE1303609


This guy simply came and simply change the Mother-Board of my laptop without going into deep of what the exact issue is.(he said Company has provided me a Mother Board and I am here to replace it). Now after replacing the Mother Board my issues got doubled.




  1. First Issue remains the same(Switching On only after a few time I press the power button)




  2. Keyboard is not working




  3. Track Ball is not working




  4. Touch Pad is not working




  5. Battery is not getting charged(There's a Yellow LED to show that you have plugged in the charger)






Now I can't use my system any how. Here is the first Service Letter -


After waiting for 2 weeks for the guy to come again I put another request(Request Number - 7005318170) and a week later another HERO came to my house from Lenovo Technical support.


He tried to open the laptop like he is opening a 1980's Car Bonnet with a screw driver. He put a lot of scratches on my laptop. After opening he also said the same thing - "Company has provider me a LCD Cable and I can only replace that". Ok fine...he replaced it and now when he start the laptop it CAUGHT FIRE. Now the new problems raised in the laptop by the new service engineer are -




  1. Do any thing system will not start .




  2. If I connect the battery in laptop there are 2 LED's one on back side of the system where Thinkpad is written and the other below the keyboard. They start glowing once I connect the battery. Now I have to keep the Battery and Laptop separately in a showcase.

Now I have to still wait for third person to come and to offer me some more trouble.
