Sanatana Dharma preached ahimsa, harmonious coexistence amongst so many other things which we now think of as post modern concepts. Then again, it is the same thing that has been practiced in the lands of the subcontinent for thousands of years. Well, thousands of years before people started killing each other in the name of god/ religion. It is nice to see that Sanatana Dharma is being acknowledged now everywhere, and hopefully people in India will reclaim proper what is but their contribution to humanity. Sanskrit is now being taught in Germany and so many other countries, but we in India are fighting against it, why? How do we connect to our history, if we can't even speak the same language in which the message from our past is? It is because of this that the British were able to divide us, that we didn't even understand our own past. We were told that the vedas were written in the Arctic, and that we're different people. Truth can't be further away from what we have learned to believ since then, or what we are told now. The truth is that people from subcontinent are but closer to each other than to any other, and that is after a DNA test. We must look past appearances, our differences, and properly work to claim our history, and work towards building a better tomorrow. Understanding our past is very important for that.

We should be proud of what all we achieved in India in various fields as science, in languages, in arts and literature, in mathematics. When in Europe people were being burned at stake for suggesting that the earth is round, and goes around the sun, we in India knew about 9 planetary bodies since time immemorial. Now we are taught to be ashamed of ourself? For what? Did you know that systems in ancient India were more oriented towards division of labour, than anything else? If it indeed were true that we were a discriminatory society, then how come Valmiki wrote Ramayan and is considered one of the revered sages? I could go on and on

We were divided by people who sought to gain, and they gained a lot more than they could have had imagined. We were made second class citizens in our lands by them, by people of different faiths. Now the politicians have taken their mantle are working on dividing and ruling us. Most politicians don't even care whatever happens to our nation, never you mind the people at all. In their eagerness, some politicians like Kejriwal are more than happy to cede areas of India to foreign nations. Is it not the country that our ancients sacrificed everything for? Then why do we let such filth represent us, represent our nation, even if only a small part of it?

Today, we're so divided, we're fighting and killing each other. While those who sponsor this all, are thousands of kilometers away, laughing at how silly we are. Some of us have properly forgotten who we are, so much that some were asking British to stay back and not leave us. Why the intolerance towards Hindus? Why try to convert them? Harvesting our souls is a great book and outlines how it is but a global war for power, and natural resources. Western governments were already dictating to us how much food can India have, and while they spend billions more in a rich country, we in India are not to feed our poor? Our history, our present, it all matters not to those who preach here, and for them it is but a means to an end.

Some people from some parts of India have already submitted a petition in UN, to'free' some parts of India from India. Breaking India as described and dreamed by the West is underway and time for standing together is coming soon. India was already divided in the name of religion once, and once again, the loyalties of people are being subverted, by subverting their beliefs, history. Those who don't learn from their past, are bound to repeat the same mistakes all over again. Dare I say that we're now again being actively divided in the name of religion. We mustn't forget that it is how the British divided us, and then we were left with several millions in dead. Most Indians have seemingly forgotten that horror what partition was, and is still to so many millions of us. Millions died then, as Hindus and Muslims fought each other, but for what? British divided us as it suited them, as they could then possibly return less of what they stole from the subcontinent. However, where did that leave us? We still fought much after partition in parts of the subcontinent because we're so divided.

They're once again trying to break this nation of a billion people, to achieve their sordid goals. The basis of it is again division in our beliefs. We should learn from our past, and not let this greedy lot use us. We should all learn to coexist, and just fight them together. We can only fight the separatists when we stand collective. Remembering our past, learning from our history is a great way to learn about each other, and it will only bring us closer. We havea lot to be proud of this land, and the various civilsations over the thousands of years since, and the contributions to the world. Don't let us be divided in the name of religion, caste, creed etc., just as there was none before in India. We were once only divided by what we could contribute to the society, i.e, division of labour, and let us once again do what we could do for our motherland, which has been our home and given us all we have.

These are but the feelings of a nationalist in pain, seeing the division card being played once again. India was and is known for unity in diversity, and nowhere else in the world you will so many languages spoken in a country, so many traditions/ cultures, all living harmoniously for thousands of years. It pains me to see that we're happily all trying to carve out our own pound of flesh, all the while forgetting what we're doing to this land, and to ourselves. The last time the divide was apparent we were slaves, and if we continue walking down this path, the day we will be back to slavery, it is not very far.
