Title of this review is self-sufficient to explain but with this review I am going to put some shocking facts about this tire model that might help others to take a right decision while changing tires of their cars. After running almost 45000 Kms on my car with company fitted tires, I decided to change all of them. Though, they were in a condition that I could run 5000 more kilometers with them but I firmly believe in safety and security of all the passengers who they are travelling including me. I didn’t do much search and discussed it with one of my colleagues who suggested me MRF, CEAT, or JK Tire if am looking moderate tires in budget. I landed at a Tire Shoppe, compared prices, and asked representative to fit JK tire in my car. From here the SAD part begins. I paid my bill and came out driving. I took NH-24 to reach my home; it was 8:30 pm in winters so traffic was not much. As I touched the speed of just 60 kms I started hearing a rubbing noise from tires those were coming inside the cabin while all window glasses were closed so you can sense the loudness of noise coming from tires. I increased my speed and the noise was louder, I slowed down to 40 and then noise decreased. With my previous tires I never observed such a bad and perturbing noise so I thought the tires were new so might be making noise but that assumption was quite wrong. A series of bad experiences started from the very next day. To give an ease and better understating am going to classify them here under – Unpleasant Noise- Shared earlier in this review but this factor is very annoying especially when you are driving between 80 -100 kmph on highway. Sound got worst on cemented road. Maneuvering of Car- First thing I observed very next day that my steering was behaving bit hard than earlier. I got that checked and came to know that JK tires are made with very hard rubber and that impacts on maneuvering of vehicle. Pseudo Tubeless- These tires do not show even a single sign of being tubeless. In general, if a nail gets inserted in tubeless tire it takes sometimes to get deflated. In the case of JK tyre, it gets deflated right away like ordinary tube tire. Bad Rubber Quality- You must appreciate that tires are not get punctured every day. They all are bit robust so small nails or other sharp objects of smaller sizes cannot puncture them easily. With my previous tires with over 45000 kms I observed three punctures and all of them were after running 35000 kms. With JK tire Vectra, I observed 5 punctures in first 10000 Kms and with very small nails. Weak sidewalls- Last but not the least, this is most dangerous factor with JK Vectra tyre. Its sidewalls are thick but not robust. If you are driving even at a normal speed 50-60 kms, and if your car somehow comes on a brick or any hard object, sidewalls get swallowed and increase the chances of burst. In my case, it remained swallowed. After running 12000 Kms on the worst JK Vectra tires, I have decided gifting them to any rag picker or any scrap dealer and buy new.
