Injection @ 2.30 AM (A tribute to Doctors)

Two days back I realized that there are more educated Gorkhas along with me who are awake in the dark and may be not sleeping the days! Burning midnight oil, studying very very very hard to become MBBS and having those golden words before your name "DR" is worth the effort.

When you need a thing desperately and at an abnormal time and someone gives it to you, you just feel the happiest and pray for the well-being who offered you that. It happened on the night of 24th May that I had a severe pain in my stomach. I had spasma proxyvon (the best for the stomach pain) but it didn’t work at all. Because, the pain that I was having was not for that medicine to cure. Took some peppermint, but n vain. Checked the time and it was barely 2.20 AM! Now at this time of the night where the hell I can get a Doctor! I was getting down with pain and couldn’t bare it any more. My sisters were sleeping and thought not to disturb any of them. Meanwhile, remembered that there is hospital on the roadside (half a kilometer from my home) on which a plate read 24*7 service! I thought to give it a shot and try it out.

Barely able to move, holding my tummy got the two wheeler keys and went down from the 3 floor very very slowly. Told sister to close the door from inside and that I am going for a walk. She didn’t realized the time and said come back soon. Fine, now the bike was not ready to start in that early morning hours and I was not going to give up (since had the keys for my Palio too in my pocket) Alas! Vrrrom the bike roared and was quickly in front of the gate in 2 minutes. NO ONE AT THE DOOR. LIGHTS ARE OFF AND NO SIGN OF A HUMAN BEING! Had no energy to shout even. Don’t knew the next hospital to visit and shivering with pain.... It’s a saying that your brain works faster in pressure and it worked at that time. I remembered that due to the last visit to the same hospital, I had got the phone number and have stored it in the mobile. Quickly removed my phone and called the hospital standing outside its gate.... TRING TRING TRING.. No one answered. As soon as I was loosing my hope, I saw a person crossing from within, (may be heard the ring and came to pick the phone) I quickly showered my hands for help and he came to the shutters. Kya hua? Sir my stomach is paining a lot, is any doctor available? Come in! He showed me the way to come in and I was in the consulting room----HE WAS A DOCTOR! He diagnosed me and insisted to have an injection. After having one, he told me to sleep for 10 minutes so that the injection may show its effect or shall go for more. I agreed. The pain started vanishing in minutes and felt a bit relieved. (He gave me Voveron) In all those 10 minutes I was blessing the doctors and the whole community. They are truly the GOD's on earth..... God bless these GODs on earth. The next morning the pain was a bit less but it was still there. I went back to the same hospital and two more injections and the list of medicines since the ailment was Collitus….

Now feeling a bit better and resting at home, and enjoying MS…..

Moral of the DP:

  1. Have first aid kit at your home.

  2. Know your nearest doctor phone numbers. (Hospital nos)

  3. Should know to drive. (To help yourself or others in need)

  4. Try to maintain good health.

  5. Say thank you to your doctor.....

Thank you friends for reading it.

Enjoy good health.
