Many people express Driving is fun! I don’t agree and it had a bitter experience, where in the early morning after a party the car where my friend was driving had a narrow escape in a highway. I still wonder if it was great fun and horrifying experience. Thank God we were saved. Today average people feel driving in city roads is a horrible experience, and for the pedestrians it more frustrating,. He needs to be more attentive then the driver, coz one doesn’t know from where the vehicle shall come and hit. Many a times wonder why everyone is urgent. If we observe clearly, everyone acts smartly and try to starts his own lane, by hook or crook everyone wants to overtake. The best part is two lane roads becomes six lane and every one keep horning, expressing disgrace and start abusing the other because of congestion. After the working hours, when I walking towards home in the evening. I heard a huge cry and in a fraction of second, I witnessed a accident wherein ridder of the bike had hit an lame person. I feel that it was God’s grace that the both were safe and without much wounds. This incident showed the way we act by seeing an accident and as bystander. It was shocking to know wilfully nobody came forward to help the lame person. With one foot amputee and with wooden supports the incident always keeps me awake. The wooden support the wheel, sitting on the road and expressing his pain was really a sad feeling. What was more shameful was nobody was ready to share empathy towards the lame person and gathered crowd was expressing sympathy and concerns towards the ridder. Is this because he was lame and used to begg? Even to the extent of providing water. When I offered water to the lame person, he only said Zinda bajgaya, mauth nahi aaya ! In a sad voice he expressed how he lost his one leg in a train accident few years back and wished he could have passed away during accident. If we observe, many of the times both the driver and pedestrians and constantly talking in the mobile during driving or crossing the roads. Today even when you are supposed to keep the speed limit, nobody is bothered. But driving is always fun!! Bottom-line In india if you find a person driving slow, then you comment as “Sala - Deko Garden mai gadi challarahi ”, if someone overtakes then you comment “Sala Marna hai kaya? And if someone drives parallel to you then “Sala Bap sai competition? Playing with others life is fun and with owns life it is Pain.
