I just finished reading this book called , REINVENTING YOURSELF", and the author Steve Chandler was pointing out how watching TV news channels was making our minds feel down and frustrated. It definitely is I feel, because all we see in it is either hyped or true details morphed just to keep the viewer from hitting his remote.T he news readers look like models and its very obvious that they dont have any connection with the news they read. I wish I could test them by asking about what they read just now.

Even the newspapers carry stories which is of very little importance to the reader or the society. I wonder who really benefits from reading the gossip columns and the Pub clipings. not that there is nothing worth reading, I always read my star sign in the astrology column every night. just to have a hearty laugh of what didnt happen according to the prediction. See it really benefits my heart as it is too comical and it gives me a good hearty laugh.

violence, deaths, accidents, drug trafficking, political drama etc rule the sheets rather than some success stories, true human courage, some thoughts on the upliftment of the society etc. The news about the ban of the book by Jaswant singh is actually benefiting him more than the people who is going to read it. the kind of marketing techniques these people use to market their books amazes me.

all said and done, lets not think about this too much, as I feel it is going to make us very contemplative and gloomy. lets just unwind and have a great day ahead.. cheers
